Luca's POVZ
"Hunter, you can't just grab my controller and throw it across that freaking room!" I stared in shock at my best friend.

"You were winning though!" He yelled.

I shook my head, not believing the words that just came out of his mouth.

"That's the point! You can't sabotage me because you suck at video games!" I yelled back in frustration.

"Sorry, what was that? Couldn't quite hear you over my victory." I narrowed my eyes at him about to reply with a snarky comment when he added. "Plus it's my house what I say, goes," he said turning back to the Tv.

"Why you little piece of..." I was cut off by a high-pitched shriek.

I snapped my head to the sliding door leading out to the balcony. I turned back to Hunter with a confused expression covering my features. "What the hell was that?" I asked curiously.

"What do you mean?" He asked seriously. "Are you hearing things again?" He asked with a sigh.

I glared at him. Does he really think I was just making this up? Before I could say anything I heard another high-pitched shriek. Ok, something was going on.

"I'll be back," I told Hunter who responded with a hmph.

I opened the door leading outside onto the porch. That's when I noticed two girls in bikinis running around a pool.

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. No ones lived in that house for two whole years. Are they new to town? Oh well, I thought to myself.

Turning around I was about to head back inside when I heard a familiar voice. It sounded so familiar. It was smooth and just the right pitch.

I turned around and saw the person I thought I would never see again. Rayah Stewart.

I turned around fully and leant against the railing. My mind drifted to the last time I saw her. I cringed at the memory. It was the last day of Freshman year and I pushed her into a puddle of mud.

My thoughts were interrupted when I saw the other girl she was with, full on tackle her into the pool.  A huge smile spread across my face.

They both broke the surface at the same time rubbing their eyes free of water. "That was some show sunshine," I shouted loud enough for her to hear me. She froze and looked over to where I was standing.

"What's wrong sunshine? Did you miss me that much that you're at a loss for words?" I said with a few hints of sarcasm. It felt like old times once again except she didn't react which surprised me. She just got out of the pool and went inside. I was left staring into space trying to figure out what just happened.

After she went back inside I look over to her friend who was staring daggers at me. She soon followed after Rayah.

Well okay then.

Sophie's POV

As soon as those words came out of his mouth I felt my blood boil. No one and I mean no one talks to my best friend like that especially not the person who tormented her for years.

I decided I was going to give him a piece of my mind so I quickly got out of the pool and went inside.

I grabbed a long blue T-shirt that came to my mid thighs and pulled it over my body.

While walking over to the door I saw Rayah eyeing me suspiciously.

"What are you doing?" She asked curiously. Her eyes were filled with a mixture of worry and confusion.

"I'm going over so that I can yell at that jerk." I stated in a calm voice saving my anger for what was about to happen.

"Don't get yourself hurt." She pleaded with big eyes.

I rolled my eyes. "Please if anyone's going to get hurt it's him.

I stormed out the door and across the two lawns so that I was now standing in front of his door. I raised my hand and knocked loudly. My head was spinning with colourful words I could use on that rotten weasel.

Luca opened the door and as soon as his eyes landed on me, a cocky smirk plastered itself on his face. Oh, how I wish I could slap it off.

"Well well well. Who do we have here?" He said as if nothing was wrong. This only made me want to kick him where the sun doesn't shine.

"Hi, I'm Sophie DiAngeleo best friend of Rayah Stewart, who I'm pretty sure you've heard of. Right? I mean you did bully her from elementary all the way up to High school." I said in a deceiving tone.

"And?" He said rudely.

"I wanted to come and set the record straight. You may have made her life a living hell before she left but from now on if you ever lay a hand on her I will bury you alive where no one will ever find you leaving you to die a slow and painful death."

His eyes went wide with shock, or was it terror? I wasn't sure but for some strange reason, I liked it. He deserved it.

"Don't worry, wasn't planning on it." He said sincerely.

I was surprised to say the least. Did he mean this or was he just a really good actor?

"Doesn't matter this is what I'm telling you now, upset her in any way and I will end you."  I said raising my voice a little bit at the end.

I heard footsteps coming from behind him all of a sudden my eyes were blessed with the prettiest human being I have ever seen.

"Why hello there gorgeous. You single?" He asked while looking at me up and down.

Damn it why do the hot ones have to be a**holes? I internally cried.

I rolled my eyes in response. "I'm leaving now but I swear to god if you so much as look in her direction I will murder you." I said in a deadly town narrowing my eyes at Luca.

I turned on my heels ready to head back to Rayahs.

"Fiesty, I like it."

I slowly turned around to face the guy that appeared next to Luca who now had an amused expression on.

Putting on the sweetest smile I could muster I lifted up my hand and flipped him off. Luca burst out laughing while the guy next to him had a fake sad look on his face. I smirked and once again turned around to head back.

Once in the house, I plopped down next to Rayah.

"I'm sorry." I said quietly. I looked at her sad features sympathetically. I truly cared for her and couldn't stand to see her upset.

"It's not your fault." she replied back in a quite voice. "I just wish that our day wasn't ruined." she sighed.

Suddenly an idea popped into my head. "Let's go to the beach!" I screamed.

Her eyes lit up with excitement. She shook her head up and down. "Let's do it."
