A busted open door,

Curtains torn,

And shutters,

Splintered on the floor,

And this is all I'll ever be--

Robbed of everything inside,

Come on in,

It's been scraped clean--

I don't know what you're looking for,

My antique heart shattered,

From attic shelf to floor-

And please don't mind the banging noise,

They took their lives and hearts,

But their skeletons knock on closet doors--

If you see the light shining through the cracks,

Don't be afraid,

I'm split apart so my soul could Leave,

On any given day-

I'm just waiting for this place to collapse,

 What ever you're looking for,

It's something I don't have,

But stay as long as you like,

I'll be your shelter to save you in the night,

Burn me up, tear me apart as you please,

I'll keep you warm as long as you need--

And please just ignore the roaring,

In the basement it's pouring,

Just sleep weary traveler,

I'm sure I can keep it down until morning-

But I gave you my fair warning--

And break, and take, and go and leave,

Gone now, I didn't have what you need-

Excuse the jumping around,

I can't think with all the creeks!

And I'll still be listing the reasons,

I'm crumbling to give you some peace-

If you don't mind dropping your match,

and maybe some gasoline?

So I can go with you,

Just in the sense of being free-

And I'm sorry for the ruckus,

I'm sure you're trying to sleep--

But on your way out just remember

You could have saved me-

But no it's okay,

You've gotten what you need,

So when I ignite myself in flames,

Well I hope for you it's just a dream
