dog walker - moon taeil

"my name is taeil," he held his hand out for me to shake.

i looked down at his hand and then back up at his face, "i'm sorry but my hands are kind of full at the moment," i said quietly.

"oh, yeah. i can see that. are these your dogs?" he asked.

"no, these demons belong to a few of my neighbors. i get payed for walking them once a week."

"seems like an easy way to get money."

"as if," i scoffed, "all four of these guys are terrible."

"they look sweet to me," he kneeled down to pet ollie.

"yeah, well you don't know them as well as i do."

"that's true," he stood back up.

"do you have a dog?" i asked.

"no, not at the moment. i'd like to get one some day though."

"oh, i was going to offer to walk your dog but never mind," i looked down at my watch, "listen, i have to take these dogs back home. it was nice meeting you."

"wait!" he yelled as i turned to walk away.

"yeah?" i said as i turned back towards him.

"maybe i could help you walk them next time. i'd like to spend me time with these cuties," he said, pointing to the dogs.

"you're not getting a cut of my pay."

"i wasn't expecting to get paid. i just want to walk with you guys. i have nothing better to do."

"fine. you can be in charge of getting leo when he runs off."

"cool. when are you walking them again?"

"i walk them every thursday evening." i said.

"where do you want to meet?" he asked.

"i'll come meet you here before i go to pick up the dogs."

"what time?"

"is 4pm okay?" i asked.

"that's perfect!" he smiled brightly.

"alright well i really need to get going," i said, slowly starting to walk away.

"oh, yeah. go ahead and i'll see you next week!" he waved.

"bye," i said before turning around completely and leaving to take the dogs back to their homes.
