The first and foremost pain in my life. Of all the names my parents could find from Shakespeare why Lysander? I mean why not Othello? Why not Anthony? Why Lysander?
It's not like I hate my name or something. I like it but the real problem with my name is....
My nick name- Lice.
According to my parents it was the only cool nick name they could find for Lysander.
I suggested Ander, Andy, Sander, San, Sandy. But no they had to stick with 'Lice'.
"Lice have you packed your lunch?" my mom called to me.
"Uh-huh" I hummed and slung my bag.
Now imagine that on cards- 'warm wishes from lice and family'.
Isn't that I don't know AWKWARD? My parents never saw my nickname as a problem. They said they love me as I am. So I guess love is blind.
'Anyway the least you could do' I told them was spell it as 'Lyce'.
So they agreed with it. Thank god for that.
"LYCE" my mom screamed as I kissed her bye and started running from the front door. "Wait up" she continued.
No I won't wait. I have waited eighteen years for this moment.
"Bye ma!" I screamed and ran for the bus station.

My first day at college and I already made loads of friends. One, Lee he is this scrawny, awkward but cool guy I instantly made friends with.
Two, Lee he was this amazing guy who knew everyone in the class, enough to call them nick names
Three, Lee this amazing athlete who fist bumped me on the first day and promised to do so for the rest of our university years.
Lee is really funny if you ignored his honesty. He is way too honest on things. Like he didn't waste a single minute but asked me straight away.
"Dude your hair and eyes are weird" I shrugged and explained him of my ancestors being you know imports from the Great Britain. To which he smiled and laughed. He also had this weird doubt that if I was ever teased in school. To which I told him the truth 'My looks got the better of me".
"Girls like weird huh?" He said and laughed again. He had an amazing smile which he threw at every person he encountered. I observed his eyes they were a little dull black and round. And I know just by seeing them that they would be with me on this journey.
Lee said he wasn't having any trouble with making friends as he knew most of them from school years. He told me the ups and downs of the gangs they formed here. Just as I was asking him about his gang. The professor for the first period came in. He talked about himself all the time which bored me. So like always my mind wandered off things and I started doodling.
When the bell rang all my classmates gave a collective sigh of relief. Lee leaned forward and widened his eyes seeing my doodle.
"What's with the eyes?" he asked me. I drew I think ten eyes randomly in there.
"I don't know I love them" I declared and started adding shadows to them.
"You love eyes?" he asked me his mouth agape as if he is unable to understand what is going on here.
"Yeah I love eyes they speak so much, you'd be surprised" I answered him a bit proudly.
"You just keep getting weirder and weirder" Lee said and chuckled.
