Lucy dragged Wendy to the back of the school where nobody could hear them talking.
"So Natsu said something about a family 400 years ago?" Wendy nodded with worry in her eyes.
"Yeah. Is he going to be ok? Is something wrong with him?" Lucy shook her head and put a hand on Wendy's head,
"No. Nothing from this world is wrong with him...I can't talk about it here at school but if you can come to my house after school then I can tell you all about Natsu." Wendy nodded,
"Ok but won't your parents think it's rude if I just show up?" Lucy shook her head and smiled sadly,
"No. I live by myself." Wendy smiled and hugged Lucy tight.
"Thank you Lucy!" She pulled away from the hug and ran back to the training grounds of the school so that she could practice and get better. Lucy smiled and walked off to her next class, dreading the end of school.
"Please don't be like everybody else Wendy. Natsu really cares about you."
Wendy was sitting in her last class watching the bell. Wanting for school to be over so that Lucy could tell her what was wrong with Natsu.
"Good day at school today children. I hope that you all have a good weekend and I'll see you on Monday." The bell rung and Wendy packed up her things and ran out the door. She ran until she was out in the courtyard and looked around for Lucy. She took a few looks around the area and finally spotted her sitting under a tree. Wendy smiled and ran up to Lucy.
"Hey Lucy." Lucy looked up from the book she was reading and smiled at Wendy,
"Hey Wendy. How was your day at school."
"It was good. But um, Natsu..." Lucy nodded and shut her book.
"I know Wendy. I'll tell everything you need to know." Wendy looked up at Lucy with worry in her eyes,
"I do appreciate that but it's something else." Lucy frowned,
"What do you mean?" Wendy hung her head,
"So you didn't know..."
"What didn't I know Wendy?" Wendy looked back up at Lucy with tears in her eyes,
"Natsu wasn't in any of his classes since I saw him in the doctor's room. I went to check on him a few hours ago and he wasn't there." Lucy's eyes widened,
"We need to go to my house right now. Someone has already started, crap. It's only been 2 years." Lucy grabbed Wendy's hand and started dragging her down the street, towards her house.
"What's wrong Lucy?" Lucy shook her head,
"If I told you right now, you would either not believe me or you would just freak out. I need to tell you the story and then I can tell you what is happening right now." Wendy nodded her head a little hesitantly.
"Is Natsu going to be ok Lucy?" Lucy's pace slowed down a little bit but she kept walking,
"I don't know Wendy. That depends on your bravery, ok? I need you to be brave for Natsu's sake." Wendy nodded, tears coming to her eyes,
"Ok." Lucy and Wendy kept walking towards Lucy's house when someone walked right up to them,
"Lucy. Is it happening again." Lucy nodded, still looking forward,
"Yeah. Can you go to my house with me and freeze up the windows and doors when we get in there Gray?" The boy, Gray, nodded and stuck to Lucy's side all the way to her house. Once they got inside Wendy grabbed Lucy's hand,
"Lucy? Who is that?" Lucy smiled,
"It's one of Natsu's friends. His name is Gray Fullbuster. He will be able to protect us until the people are gone from town." Wendy nodded, still confused. They walked up the stairs and into Lucy's room where the windows were already frozen. Lucy sat Wendy down on one of the chairs in the room and walked off into the kitchen. Wendy got off of the chair and sat down on Lucy's bed, pulling her legs up to her chest.
"It's really cold in here." She shivered a little bit and Lucy walked back into the room with two cups in her hands and two big blankets.
"Here you go Wendy. It will get pretty cold if you don't have a blanket." Wendy grabbed the cup gratefully and took a sip of the liquid inside,
"Hot chocolate!" Lucy smiled and sat down next to Wendy,
"Yup. Here you go." She handed Wendy the blanket and Wendy wrapped it around herself while Lucy got situated on the bed.
"So, you want to know everything about Natsu right?" Wendy nodded taking another sip of her hot chocolate. Lucy sighed and put her own cup down on the ground.
"Ok then. I guess I'll start from the top..."
