The procedure wasn't easy. Although Jack gave his best efforts to help his little sister Laura, who was crying nenevertheless.

But as always after every appointment they got a treat. As the hospital was kust a few minutes away from the kids favourite mall they did a short walk together. Laura in her stroller. Obviously exhausted.

"Daddy, are we going to?" he asked and he didn't need to say more. Jack was always careful with what he said.

"Yes buddy, I'd say after ice cream but it seems as Laura is already asleep." he replied to his son and Jack nooded eagerly.

They made their way downstairs to the second floor. As the entrance for visitors was on the third floor. The Jewelery was onto the second floor and entered the small store.

"Hello! How can I help you?" the salesman asked.

"We are looking for an eng...engagm..." Jack wanted to reply but struggled with the last word so he looked up to Aaron. "We are looking for an engagement ring." he said. "Sure, on this side are some golden rings and on that side are the silver rings. I'll let you look and if you have any questions I'll be over there." the salesman said and went back to his small corner where everything admimistrative related was.

Both men looked at different rings for about fifteen minutes. Although Jack barely saw them.

After another 5 minutes, in which Laura still slept peachefully, they decided on two of each favourite rings and asked the salesman for those.

As he walked over to them Laura woke up from her nap and wanted on Daddys arm.

"Those are four beautiful rings." the salesman complimented as he placed the rings carefully on a black matt.

"So Jack, which one do we want?" Aaron asked.

"What does Laur' think?" Jack asked. As it was important for him that Laura agreed. Even if she was still too young to comprehend the situation. He liked all the rings and it was difficult to decide which one he liked most. The same feeling his Dad had.

"So let her decide?" Hotch asked and Jack nodded. "Hey baby, which one do you like best?" he asked his daughter. Meanwhile the salesman saw the whole process unfold and knew that this woman would be eternally lucky to have such wonderful kids and boyfriend.

"Then this will be the ring." Aaron said after Laura pointed on a ring.

"Wonderful, the speciality about this ring is that you can couple it with your future wedding ring." the salesman said as he put the other three rings back.

"What about the size?" the salesman, whose name Mike was, asked.

"This should be the size. It's the one she wears most and it's a expensive one." Jack reffered to the golden diamant ring she got from her mother, who had it from her mother.

"Perfect, it already is the right size." and Hotch was relieved. No unneccessary phone calls. Which could ruin the plan.

Hotch paid for the gorgeus small golden ring. Due to their jobs he kept it simple, yet elegant.
