26. The End [Part 4/4]

The crew had returned from spending time with their families at home. They still had a few days left in their break because their winter break is two weeks long. Today was the day that everyone was going to an indoor swimming pool.

Brittany woke up and got dressed in her room for the trip. She made her way towards Maven's room to wake her best friend up.

Only to be met with an unmade bed, scattered clothes and (more importantly) no sight of Maven.

Maybe she left with Harry, Brittany thought.

Shrugging her shoulders, she left Maven's bedroom to finish getting ready.

After a bit of time has passed, Brittany checked Maven's room to double check on her best friend again.

Once again, she is met with an empty room. It wasn't until she saw a small note that was covered by the various piles of clothes. Brittany took the note and placed it in her pocket for later.

"Hey babe!" Liam shouted as he saw his girlfriend approach him.

Brittany only smiled as she gave him a bear hug. Liam looked over Brittany's shoulder expecting to see Maven with her. But instead he sees no one.

"Where's Maven?" The man asked.

"I honestly don't know. I thought she might've left early to go hang out with Harry and they would arrive here together," Brittany explained.

"I haven't seen Harry leave his room lately except for today," Liam said.

Brittany suddenly saw Louis and Zayn running towards the both of them in a panic. Looking at Liam with the same worried expression, the two of them ran towards their friends. Zayn and Louis stood in front of Liam and Brittany, hunched over and panting from running.

"What happened?" Liam asked.

"It's Harry. His Dark Harry chip has been activated. We've got him under control thankfully and we were taking him to Maven," Louis explained.

"Wait, so Maven isn't with you?" Brittany asked.

"We thought she was at the dorm with you!" Zayn said.

"Has anyone seen or heard from her?" Liam interrupted.

Silence filled the scenery for a minute or two before we all looked at each other. The last person that saw Maven was Harry.

"I need to talk to Harry now."

"Now that the two are separated, what's the next step of the plan?" Cody asked his doppelganger.

"Be patience Blondie, the next step is simple. We woo the poor damsel in distress," his doppleganger stated. "Then when we have wooed her, the girl will fall for you and she will be all yours."

Simpson smirked as he gave his doppelganger an approving nod.

Then when I cut him out of the picture, she'll be all mine, the doppelganger thought to himself.

She will finally be my Demon Queen.

Maven had stepped off the train after riding it for more than 4 hours. The poor girl had never felt more grateful for being about to stand and walk around. Maven was walking around the train station for a while until she heard a familiar voice.

"Maven! Yo Mavvy! Over here!"

Maven turned her head around to find her favorite cousin, Raven.

After the events that had taken place a few days ago, the first person she wanted to call was her mother. However, she was well aware that her mother had enough worries with the rituals and trying to prove her innocence.

So she turned to the next family member that she was close to.

Maven walked over to her cousin and gave her a small hug.

"How are you hanging in there?" Raven asked.

"Well, the wound is still fresh and I do miss Brittany, Liam, Louis and Zayn. And I even miss him," Maven explained.

"Now let me stop you right there. He doesn't deserve your kindness or your forgiveness for what he has done to you. I swear the next time I see his face, he's gonna wish he had never broken your heart!"

Maven only chuckled as her cousin as they began to head back to her apartment.
