Hey y'all! I only have one or two parts left in the story--remember, it's only a short story, not a full length book. I love writing novels, but I would never finish them if that was all I did.;) Anyways, thanks so much for reading this far and I want to give a shout out to Strawberry_Cream1928 for voting and making my cover. Here's the next part.

"Yes, I came. Are you hurt?"
"I'm a bit battered, but I'm alright, darling. I'm sorry you got caught up in this mess. I never realized how illimitable Jonathan's hatred went."

The floor creaked. They froze, as still and silent as statues. The kitchen door swung open and there stood Jonathan.
