You never really fully value life until yours is put in jeopardy. Now I understand all those people who claim that they see life differently because of some close to death experience and how they appreciate there simple ways of living and to be honest I'm starting to feel that way too. I know for a fact  I would give anything to be at home in my soft bed or hell, even doing homework or cleaning up last nights dishes like i would of put off to the last minute. But no instead I'm here...In this horrifying blood curdling position. Who would have guessed? If some one had told me Id be trapped in a forest injured with no food or water with a mad man potting against me i would of told them they were the mad one. But no.

Fiercely i clench my eyes shut as tears threaten to escape for the millionth time in the last few hours.

my heart darkens at the truth dawns on me I was going to die out here by the hands of a mad man.

"Isla?" Deans voice pulls me from my daunting thoughts.

"Yeah" Weakly I look up at him.

"We have to keep walking, come on." Gently deans large warm hand consumes my small dainty one as he leads me deeper into the darkening forest. Everything looks so different in the dark.

Sighing I begin to pick up the pace. Dean was right If this plan was going to work we had to get moving. A quick operation get in get out get help. That was our decision. We would find this camp grab supplies and run. Find a safe place to hide where we would treat our wounds and eat. Then we we start the long walk to get help. My heart leaps a little in my chest at the thought of being safe again. Some date this turned out to be.

He stops walking abruptly and As if dean had read my thought he begins to apologise.

"I'm so sorry Isla. I didn't mean for this to happen... tonight was meant to be special but instead..god what have i done." His deep voice is torn between sadness anger and regret. Deans hand is ripped from mine, looking up I see him with his head in his hands his medium blonde hair  parts stained a dark red colour from his blood, draping over his finger tips like an extra curtain to cover his face.

"Dean. Don't. You know this isn't your fault If its any-ones its that sickos! He is what causing this dean not you. You should know that."

"Yeah but if i hadn't planned this stupid tree hut date and crashed we wouldn't be out here."

A small smile plays at my lips.

"Dean did you just say Tree-Hut?" I ask surprised.

Finally he looks up from his hands.

"Yeah" weakly he smiles. "Don't laugh but over the last few Weeks I... well I kinda built us a tree house."

My smile widens. "Are you serous!!?? Dean that is so awesome that's not stupid at all!!!" I exclaim

"Thanks I built it in thought that it could be like our secret get away place." His eyes sparkle in delight I swore I could almost  see the tree hut though his eyes.

"You were going to take me weren't you?" My smile instantly drops at the real world crashes down on my shoulders again.

Glancing over at dean his once bright smile had been turned into a scowl.

"Yeah I was."

"Dean for what its worth that is the sweetest thing I have ever heard of."

This returns only a fraction of his grin.

"Come on."He says grabbing my hand once more. "Lets get going."

As it turns out it gets dark really quickly in the forest. Within an hour it was pitch black and to make matters worse it looked like it as going to rain.

"My feet are sore" I mumble. My feet throbbed painfully with every pan staking step.

"Mine too."

All of a sudden the familiar smell of smoke hits my nose.

"Dean can you smell that?"

There's a pause.

"Yeah I can, come on we must be getting close."

And sure enough a minute later a small dim yellow light of a fire emerges from the trees.

"Get down."

Following deans urgent instructions I instantly drop to my knees. Slowly Crawling forward  I lay flat on my stomach, twigs and sticks poke and prob at my raw skin uncomfortably. Daringly I draw in a deep breath filling my lungs of the damp night air before peaking out between the shrubbery.

What I had expected instantly flew out the window. What I had expected was a trap. Food which consisted of raw meat and maggots and horrendous medical supplies like a chain saw. This was defiantly not that. A small tent was the centre of the scene, a small yet inviting looking fire burned slowly a few meters away sending a small stream of smoke up into the air. But what shocked me most was sitting beside it. A medium sized fold out table was placed neatly beside the fire, a red and white checkered table cloth draped neatly over all four  corners, and sitting on the table, so help me, was 4 plates. The first filled with food not just any food, but  a ham leg, fruit, cheese as well as a loaf of bread. Just the site of the food sent my very stomach rumbling. On the second plate was, as the mental promised a pile of various medical supplies things ranged from plasters to antiseptic cream. On the third was a single phone and a neatly folded piece of parchment. And the forth was a large drink bottle of water.

Eagerly I  whip my head around in search of dean.Instantly I find him his large figure lay ed out much like mine, laying down flat on the uncomfortable Forrest floor peering through a small bush gazing at the sight in front of him..

Erging  to shout his name I quickly stop my self. If the metal case was here, shouting would not be a good start to this plan. Searching around me a tad impatiently my eyes lay apron a rock about the size of a 50 cent piece. Lifting it soundlessly I though it gently in deans direction. The rock bounces once before landing only a few center meters short of his fore arm.

Pulling back from the shrubbery dean slowly faces me looking just as eager and nervous as I feel.

"You ready?" He mouths

With adrenaline pumping steadily through my veins I nod. Dean  holds up his left hand and begins too count us down.
