"thank you, good night!" george shouted into the microphone with a wide smile on his lips. you could barely see them for his moustache had grown over them a bit. y/n smiled at him and waved her hand in the air. she, of course, wanted to catch the guitarist's eye, too. just like all the other people in the room.

george harrison got off the stage after waving people goodbye and y/n was up and running out of the huge room filled with people. she had been to many shows and knew where the stars usually went right after the show. (a/n: this is like, the 'where the musicians go' based on a concert i went to so yeah don't kill me pls)

her weak legs carried her through the hot, packed room while her hand was holding onto a copy of george's newest album. she had been standing up and dancing and even jumping for almost three hours straight and her legs were begging for a break, but y/n could only think about that later.

there were no people in the public wardrobe's area. yes! y/n silently cheered. walked up to the young boy working at the wardrobe and gave him her card to get her coat back, in its pocket was the marker she wanted george to sign her copy with.

y/n got her coat and took out the marker. she held her coat over her arm and inspected the area, pretending to just walk around. then she heard voices. both male, and one of them his. george harrison's voice.

y/n's blood practically froze as she stood at the open end of a hallway that lead to an earlier closed door. a musician in a white suit was chatting with his instrument manager while walking down the hallway, towards the end where y/n was standing.

he moved back his long hair to see what was in front of him, and he spotted a young woman standing by the wall with a coat over her arm and her hand was holding an album in vinyl form. george smiled at her, cautiosly, recognising it as his own album and realising she may be a supporter of his.

he told his sound manager to wait for a few minutes from afar and then slowly walked up to the woman standing by the wall, who had rosy cheeks and a shy smile on her face. george's own lips erupted into a smile and he looked at the woman.

"evening." he said to her, positive energy radiating off of him. y/n's heart burst out of her chest. he was keeping a polite distance between him and y/n.

"hello." she simply said, looking up to him. she wanted to cry in that exact moment, but she tried her very best to keep it cool.

"were you at the show?" george asked. y/n nodded. "thank you."

"i... actually wanted to thank you." y/n said after a few moments of silence. george furrowed his eyebrows for a second, and then gestured to the album y/n was holding in her hand.

"do you want that signed?" he asked. y/n nodded and brought the album and a marker towards him. "what did you want to thank me for?" he asked while he opened the marker.

y/n inhaled deeply. she couldn't start crying while talking to him, she hoped she wouldn't. george harrison meant so much to her. "i wanted to thank you for making music and... putting your thoughts out in the world." she said. "your music has really helped me get through things in my life and, uh... it leaves a positive impact on me every time i listen to it."

george smiled as he listened to the young woman talking. her words were so polite and the most collected from what he heard from other people who were his fans. "well, that makes me feel nothing but glad, young lady," he said, "how old are you, if you don't me asking?"

y/n's heart almost stopped. "uh, i-i'm nineteen." she replied.

"wow, that really surprises me," george said, signing her album, "don't kids your age listen to that disco music? or whatever the 'cool' music is now?" george said and chuckled to himself. y/n smiled.

"i don't like that music. everybody listens to it, but i like your kind of music." she said.

"at least someone does," george said and looked at y/n again, "here you go." he handed her the now signed album. she took it in her hands and almost died when her hand touched george's slightly.

"thank you so much." y/n said, smiling up at george. her eyes were glistening with tears as she tried hard not to burst into histerical crying.

"thank you, dear." george said. he then looked around, searching for his sound manager. "you know, rob always carries a polaroid camera around with him, for some weird reason. maybe he could take a picture of us, would you mind?" y/n shook her head. george smiled once he found his sound manager. "ah, rob, could you come here, please?" he asked.

rob came over to y/n and george and smiled. "what is it, george?" he asked.

"could you take two pictures of me and dear..." george trailed off, realising he didn't know the girl's name.

"y/n." she said. george laughed.

"yes, could you take two pictures of us? one for me and for her?" george asked. his manager nodded with a small smile. y/n loved how george was always so polite to people.

she froze when george put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. y/n saw rob taking the polaroid camera up to his face and pulled her lips up into as happy as a smile could be. she felt george's cheek rest against her hair, his lips were erupting into a wide smile.

the camera's flash went off one time, the picture came out, but george kept on smiling. y/n was too dazed to understand there would be another picture taken. george looked down at her and saw y/n's face was in a dreamy expression. he chuckled at her and the camera flash went off again, both y/n and george being unaware of it until it happened.

"thanks, rob." george said, pulling away from y/n. he reached over to rob for the two fresh polaroids and then turned back to y/n. "thank you for coming to the show, it means a lot." he said to her, his hands shaking the photos so they would develop faster. y/n nodded.

"i enjoyed it, so you're always welcome." y/n responded. george just smiled at her.

once the polaroids were ready, george leaned sideways next to y/n and put the photos before both of them. "which one would you like?" he asked her.

y/n cringed at how she looked in the one where george was looking at her. "i look so weird there!" she pointed at her face in the photo. "i'd like the other one."

"noo, i wanted that one!" george chuckled. "and you look fine there, darling." y/n blushed. she didn't know what to say.

"thanks." she whispered. "alright, you can have it." y/n finally said. george gave her the other photograph and straightened back up.

"there you go." he said. "thank you again for coming, i hear the rest of the audience is coming already." george said with a nervous chuckle. y/n nodded. "have a nice night."

"thank you for everything." y/n said to him. "goodnight!" she called out before walking in the direction of the exit.
