This takes place 7 years after the final battle.

Teddy Lupin was an unusually intelligent child. He could read as well as his godfather— Harry—if not better.

He got on well with Harry because of what they had in common— nether ever knew their parents.

*********************
Harry lay with his legs dangling over the arm of the couch in number 12 Grimmauld place. His mind was blank, his surroundings were peaceful, it was bliss.

Harry sat in undisturbed tranquility for exactly 27 minutes and 43 seconds until the front door slammed shut. Harry had his wand out faster than you could say "paranoid much?" It made no difference however as he dropped it out of pure shock as soon as he heard a very familiar voice shout "HONEY I'M HOME!" His voice full of mirth.

Harry was frozen in place glued to the ground in utter disbelief, it wasn't him, it couldn't be. Sirius?

The imposter walked through the hallway, into the living room, obviously not having noticed Harry yet.

Harry had pulled himself together enough to pick up his wand, point it at the man who was pretending to be his godfather, and yell something he said a lot as an aura: "Put your hands on your head, and turn around!"

Unfortunately, these were the exact words that Sirius had been afraid of hearing for what he thought was, 3 years.

A cold dread began gripping at him, he had nowhere to hide, and nothing to protect himself with, [his wand had been broken when he fell through the veil].

He did as told.
