"James, Sirius, shut up!"

Sirius nearly passed out. Everyone had run to the door at Andromeda's reaction. Sirius scooped the person up and laid the person down on the now empty couch. The person was covered in bruises and their hair was gelled together with blood.

Sirius knew what kind of people do things like this: people who feel betrayed, betrayed because the person tried to bring the Dark Lord down.

Sirius was looking at his brother for the first time in 24 years, and he was elated. He would have been more elated, however if he didn't look like he had been shanked. As Regulus began to come around Sirius knelt down beside him.

You could have heard a pin drop, that is until Regulus woke up whimpering as if his world had just caved in. And as far as he knew, it had. He had run into Lucius Malfoy, who before making an attempt on his life informed him that his brother- the only person he cared about was dead. The information broke him, but he fought as he never had before, fought as Sirius would have wanted him to.

But Sirius was not dead. He wrapped Regulus in his arms, and allowed him to cry all he needed to. All the while whispering consoling things in his ear.

There wasn't a dry eye in the whole of the house. It was not long until Andromeda joined in followed by The Lupins. The Longbottoms left respectfully, and inadvertently left Harry just standing there feeling awkward. That was ended quickly, because Sirius called tearfully " Harry James, you are part of this family, get over here!" Harry obliged.

Everyone fell asleep right there on the couch, all except Nymphadora, who didn't sleep at all that night, just stared out the window at the full moon.
