౹. Justin Foley (part 2)

My eyes go wide and I take a step back, trying to organise the million floating thoughts in my mind. Why is Justin sleeping outside ? Why does it look like he's been living by this tree for a while ? Does he even have a home ?

I need to calm myself. Of course he has a house, he's maybe just leaving it for a few days, since he's the 'rebel' kind of guy. Maybe he's just taking a break after a long walk.

For some reason, all the excuses I was trying to make seemed impossible. It didn't make any sense. I find myself walking towards him and before I even reach him, his eyes snap open and we lock gaze. It was his turn, now, to be confused. He sighs heavily and awkwardly sits up against the tree .

"Uh..Justin ?" I question, looking timidly and subtly away.

"What are you doing here ?" It only took a few words and my eyes connected with his, once again.

"I-" I frown, "I could ask you the same question."

"Well you're the one that came towards me." He rolls his eyes.

"Justin, what the fuck ? Are you serious ?"

"I'm just taking a nap. Why do you care ?" Justin argues, looking away with his jawline clenching.

It was too much for me. He was full of pride and this wasn't something I wanted to deal with. I turn around and start walking away. But, of course, i'm more Curious than proud, so I turn back to him, "Why aren't you sleeping at home ?"

"Don't feel like it.."

"Fine," I groan.

"uh...Hey, wait" he demands, quietly.

"What ?"

He took a few steps towards me, "Can you...Not talk about it to anyone at school ?"

Justin was really in trouble. He was having some serious problems. But at the same time, he was giving me a opportunity to blackmail him, so why not take it ?

"Only if you tell me why you're here."

"Fuck no. Do the Hell you want, I don't care." he hissed, walking back to his tree.

And just like that, after this exceptional night, I would see him every night by the tree. Living like a homeless by night and being the most popular boy during the day. I didn't have the heart to tell everyone about this and risking to make his social life a bigger problem. He didn't need rumors and one day he would finally decide to suck up his pride and ask for help. He couldn't keep taking his showers at school. He couldn't live like that. It's been a whole week.

And there is a secret I need to admit. Everyday, before going to school, I would take my bike, ride towards his tree and put something. Money, food, a blanket, anything. Anything that would make sure, he would be able to live a little bit better.

Because I cared about him.

He certainly knew it was me, yet, every night, as I passed by, he was just sleeping. Not waiting for me to thank me. Not giving me a single look in the corridors. Not aknowledging my existence.

But I didn't need him to be thankful to be Nice, because I knew that he was full of himself.

This morning, I gave him a bottle of juice with some boxed cookies. Tomorow, i'll give him a few bottles of water. Right now, I'm lost in the corridors again, trying to find my history class. I take a left and immediatly, bump into a huge muscular body.

I look up to him,"S..sorry," and realise that he looks very familiar. He would wear the blue basketball jacket almost everyday. Clay told me to not talk to these guys but I didn't have a choice. He's huge, his eyes are too flirty and his hair is blond-brownish. A smirk is plastered on his face, "It's alright. Are you okay?"
