Chapter 1

"Bei, would you please wake up? We'll meet the rookies today, remember?" Said Deanna, who was trying to wake me up.

"Psh, I'm not friendly, you know. I don't need to know them. Besides, I've been lacking sleep." I said. Ofcourse, who wouldn't want to enjoy their summer break?

"But, Beyuh! There's training, you need to. That's where we'll meet the rookies!" Deanna said, forcing me.

"I'll be in the gym for training, not for the rookies. As long as they would help the team, and live the heartstrong spirit. I mean, you know what I mean. Now, move away. I'll get ready." I said back.

"Owcake." Deanna shrugged, then also started preparing for the training. SVL's coming up, people!

We rode my car, then we arrived in the gym. We were waiting for the rookies, obviously.

"Trey, do you know who the rookies are?" I whispered to Therese Gaston, my fellow team mate.

"Nope, beadel. No idea," She answered, popping the letter 'p' in the 'nope' and prolonging the 'a' in the 'idea'.

"Okay, girls. The rookies are here," Our team captain, Ate Ly said. Then, 3 girls went in the gym. They went closer, then Ate Ly introduced them to us.

"Girls, this is Madeleine Yrenea Madayag. Call her Maddie. And every warm up, trainings or games, your partner would be Bea. Bei, you know what to do." She introduced Maddie. I just smiled at her, then she sat beside me.

"Pst, Bei. First impression?" Trey, asked, while whispering as she was looking at Maddie.

"I bet she's good," I whispered back while leaning, so she could hear me and Maddie wouldn't.

"Okay, the next rookie. Her name is Anna Laureen Gopico. Call her Anna. Then her pair will be Ella. Ells, you know na." Ate Ly said.

"First impression, Bei?" Trey asked while watching Anna walk towards Ate Ella.

"Hmm, good enough. But, not really sure." I said, then looked at our captain once again.

"Her name is, Jhoana Louisse Maraguinot. Call her Jho. Then her pair would be meeeee." Ate Ly said.

"Bei," By Therese saying my name, I knew what she meant. She's my back stabbing buddy, haha.

"Bitch." I said then looked at Jho, sitting down as if she's the co capt. Hate at first sight? Hell yeah.

"Of all the impressions you've made, beadel. That's the one where I agree the most, hehe." Trey said with her cute laugh.

Training started, and today is nothing but a play-play game. To test the rookies skills. And, I got teamed up with Jho, great.

Jia was the setter, all praises to her, knowing or actually just predicting what kind of set the rookies need.

Ate Ly served from the other side of the court, and Deanna was able to receive it, then she gave it to Jia.

"Jia!" I shouted, signaling Jia that I'd take the attack. But, there she was.

"Mine!" Jho said, then Jia gave the attack to her. What the hell? I asked Jia first, come on!

And her attack was an attacking error, haha. We gathered into the middle and some other players of our team were cheering her up.

I just gave her tiger looks then I went back to the net, while rolling my eyes at her. Jia could've given it to me, and it wouldn't have been an error.

Ate Ly served once again then Deanna got it, gave it to Jia. "Jia!" I shouted once again, then finally, she gave it to me.

I attacked, then it was our point. Jho looked at me and smiled, then I just snobbed her then got back to the net.

After the game, Jho approached me. "Hey," She said, then extended her hand for a handshake. I looked at her hand, then went to my car.

Ugh, that girl is getting on my nerves! Jeez, it was just one error. One god damn error! One error and she's treating me like that?

I hate her, actually. I don't even think we'll get along together. Like, who would want to be friends with somebody like her?

"Hi!" The girl said, she was our setter awhile ago. But, I don't know her name.

"Hey, what's your name?" I said with my sweetest smile, then she sat down beside me.

"My name's Jia. Julia Melissa Morado, but Jia for short. And you're Jho, right?" Jia said.

"Yeah, haha." I said, "You're not getting along with Bea, are you?" I think she means the girl who gave me tiger looks and snobbed me.

"Yeah, we're not." I admitted shyly.

"Maybe soon, Bea has a very good heart. But, as they say, we can't please everybody." Jia said.

"I don't like her," I said to Deanna, then her jaw dropped as if she saw a ghost.

"What? Why?" She asked, while eating her chicken sandwich in our room.

"I don't know, I think it's just hate at first sight." I said then took a bite of my apple.

"Do you even think hate at first sight exists?" She asked, with amazement in her eyes.

"You know, I don't even know why you're amazed. And, if you're asking me if hate at first sight really does exist? It happened to me, so, hell yeah." I said. Deanna just nodded then continued eating her sandwich.
