Chapter 18 - Girlfriend?

*Knock Knock*

"OPEN UP!!!" A deep voice with a strong Canadian accent calls out. I get up off the sofa and unlock the door and am immediately pulled into a bone crushing hug with soft lips touching my cheek. I pull away from Shawn and stare into his chocolate eyes. Aaliyah is standing in the door way looking very uncomfortable, which I can't blame her for she just saw her brother kiss her best friend. To me that would be extremely awkward.

"What would you of done if my mum opened that door and you gave her that greeting?" I sternly ask crossing my arms over my chest as I give him a disapproving stare. I'm not actually mad at him I just want to see how Shawn will react.

He stands behind me. Shawn rests his head on my shoulder and wraps his arms around my waist as he whispers "Now then that greeting wouldn't of happened if it had been your mum. I saw a flash of blond hair and I knew it was you. So I ambushed you because I just couldn't help myself and it was fun!" He smirks turning me to face him.

"Okay then Mendes you've gotten away with this one." I say leading him into the kitchen where Aaliyah is already waiting.

"What are we doing today, Lovebirds?" She grins as I blush a light red and she giggles to herself.

"Well I've only got today and tomorrow with Charley so we could do something all together today and then tomorrow I'll plan something for Charley and I?" Shawn suggests.

"What about we all go down to the beach?" I suggest sitting down on the counter's stool.

"Sounds good." Aaliyah says and Shawn nods in agreement while sitting on the stool next to mine with me in the middle of the two siblings.

"I still haven't been to the beach or the woods except for that date but that doesn't count because I only saw the tree house." I say giving Shawn a disapproving look.

"Hey, it wouldn't of been a surprise if I didn't blind fold you!" He argues. I roll my eyes at him.

"Seen as its warm today, why don't we go to the beach today?" Shawn reasons flashing his pearly white teeth.

"Ok let's do that then but first I'll make us some lunch." I say because it is only noon and I was starved.

"I'll help." Shawn offers sending Aaliyah and I into a state of panic because Shawn can not cook for the life of him. I send Aaliyah a look saying don't you dare let your brother cook, but she mimes "I can't stop him".

"Woah, you are not helping me cook!" I say pushing Shawn back into his chair.

"What? Why not?" He says acting offended.

"Erm ..." I stall thinking of a nice way to say that he can't cook to save his life.

"Hey, I can cook to save my life thank you very much, you saw my rice." Shoot I was thinking out load again. I start giggling nervously.

"I was thinking out load again." I reason acting innocent.

"Well for that I am making lunch, so you and Aaliyah can go relax. Meanwhile I'll be making the best meal you have ever had." He exclaims making Aaliyah and I sigh with frustration. Aaliyah gives up probably because she's already learnt not to mess with stubborn Shawn.
