Clove POV:
My name is Clove Fuhrman. I'm 15 and my best friend is Cato Ludwig. He's 18. We've been neighbors since I was 3. I've had a crush on him since I was 7, but I doubt he likes me like that.
Cato picked me up this morning and we skipped training because the reaping is tomorrow and Cato's volunteering. I don't want him to, but if he doesn't than his training will go to waste. Cato took me to the meadow we grew up in as kids. "Cato, can you promise me something?" I ask him.
"Anything. What is it?" Cato replies.
"Promise me you'll come home."
"I promise I will come home an we can live together in the Victor Village. Clove, can I tell you something."
"Anything. What is it?"
"Well, I'm just gonna tell you this because we only have one day left together. I've kinda had a crush on you since I was 9." I'm so mad but yet happy.
"Why couldn't you have said something earlier. We only have one day left. I've loved you since I was 7. All those years we could've spent together we put to waste. Now we only have one day. Cato I love you. Cato you have to win. Please come -'' he cuts me off by kissing me. Cato Ludwig is kissing me. I've dreamt of this moment forever.
