Angus soon shut off the sink, and everything was silent. He faltered over to the door, gripping his finger over the knob, twisting it. 'Click'. The door opened, and Angus stepped out, eyeing his friends through the hallway. Gregg's ears perked up, and his eyes wondered over to Angus's.
"A-Angus!" Gregg exclaimed, clapping his paws together. Angus's glasses just shined against his orbs.
"Humph." Angus humphed, blinking once. Mae's ears faded downwards, as she looked down. Bea's eyes were wide with fear for Angus. Gregg just smiled, trying to stay positive.
"Angus, l-listen," Gregg groaned hesitantly. "We're really sorry - that isn't a lie. But, h-hey, ya gotta get over stuff like this. I've lost many friends... Who were all very close to me. But, it's okay... They're all still in my heart. So is your father. Just... Please, get over it, that'll make you happy again." Gregg finished his speech, furrowing his eyebrows. Angus just looked own for a split second, looking back up. He shook his head, and hobbled over to the front door.
"Angus, don't leave, please!" Mae fretted, tears filling her eyes. But, 'slam'! The door shut abruptly, with a depressed Angus leaving.
"I'm sorry, Angus." Bea growled to herself under her breath.
Angus sat on a bench in the rain, which was now actually snow. Poor Angus didn't have a coat, and was freezing cold.
"Curse death, curse life, curse this world!" Angus grunted angrily, slamming his fists into his thighs, as other animals walked by him, some staring, others ignoring his fit. Angus breath escaped his mouth like a balloon being untied, the air filling out.
"Excuse me, sir?" A tiny little wolf asked, her ears pointed down shyly. Angus raised an eyebrow in annoyance, frowning.
"What, kid?" He grumbled in response, clenching his jaw.
"What's the matter?" The wolf gulped after her question, her shoulders tensing. Angus sighed out.
"None'ya." Angus replied harshly. The wolf girl perked one ear up, raising an eyebrow.
"What's that mean?" She huffed in frustration.
"None'ya business." Angus hinted he was annoyed, yet made a joke. The wolf girl chuckled nervously, quickly scuttering away. Angus rolled his eyes. He laid down across the bench, facing the back of it. He closed his eyes, feeling the sting of snow and wind on his skin, under his fur.
Uh-oh... Bad idea, Angus.
