Legends Glossary

Mates in this novel are only identified by males only. Females have the right to respectfully reject their mates, even though that's pretty much unheard of. And if their females try to reject or run away mates often capture their females and wait for the bonding to take effect because no one in history has ever resisted the mating call.

Shifters

 Breeds- There are Shifters of all kinds of species including some such as Thunderbirds, Unicorns, Dragons, and other mythical beings. The animal-side of the being is titled the Fur side of the person while their humanoid-side is referred to as their Skin side. All Shifters have designated mates that can be identified via eye contacts/ skin-to-skin contact/ smell (depending on the creature). Each species has a traditional Mating Ceremony that varies on the breed. The more rugged the creature the more primitive the acts.

Abilities- Depending on creature abilities vary. Universal abilities are

- Regeneration

- Immortality 

-Endurance

-Speed

-Strength

- Heightened Senses

Demons (This is a long one)

Classes- There is a hierarchy of demons similar to a monarchy with Kinds, Queens, Princes/Princess. Each breed of Demon has their own King/ Queen. All Demons have horns and the aristocratic demons decorate their horns with gold and jewels- sensitive and often used during sex. They also have designated mates that they only can tell when is theirs through a kiss on the lips. Once they kiss its sort of those 'and the stars aligned' epiphany things, they just know.

Demonarchy- 

Fire Demons- Originate in the Inferno Realm of Hell. Fire strengthens them, calms them. They tend to be male-dominant as females are rare and treated as submissive beings..

Berserkers- Barbaric and primitive these are the largest and most dangerous of Demons. They are considered the muscle of the Demonarchy. There are no female Berserkers. When in Demonic Form they nearly quadruple in size and features alter (specific to the demon). 

Rage- Feed on the emotion of anger these demons are impulsive and tend to be the most rebellious of demons. Females are most commonly mated to Berserkers. 

Aerial- Different breeds of Aerial Demons

* Vulture Demons- Leathery, bat-like wings. They reside in Skiral- a kingdom within the black clouds where it is always thundering and lightening. These guys are not known for their kindness and gentleness.

*Angels- Yes, angels are actually demons. They have light, white, feathery wings and are often blond and tan with light colored eyes. When I say tan I mean not pale so you can have angels of all ethnicities just not pale- I had to clarify this as someone pointed out it sounded like only angels could be white and it totally did come across that way but no- angels are just not pale and they do have blond hair. They reside in Havayah, a kingdom the white clouds. There was a long war between Angels and Vultures but the Treaty of the Skies brought a tense peace between the breeds. Angels are viewed as pompous and goodie-goodies.

Marians- Water demons that are often mistaken for mermaids/ sea witches/ water beasts. Not much is known of Marians other than if you see them swim the other way.

Sleep- Two different breeds of Sleep Demons

*Phobians- Feed off fear. Do Not Cause Nightmares. Phobians are often believed to be scary, bad creatures but they are actually peaceful and eat bad emotions. They cause happiness, positive dreams, and good times.
