Xen's POV:

It was about 2am when I woke up and it was still dark outside. For a reason I couldn't explain, I got up and walked out of the tent. Some force was pulling me deeper into the forest and I couldn't fight it. As I walked, I tripped over many small sticks and rocks, some jabbing into my legs, bruising and cutting them.

I continued on my walk for a while until I came across and discovered a house. It was covered in moss and growing ivy. It was clearly not looked after and tended to. As I walked closer, more detail of the house became clear to me. The doors were boarded up as well as the windows. I was still oblivious to what was making me do this but I carried on anyway.

The wind soon added to the dark aroma dispersing from the house.

A noise erupted from behind me; a startling sound. A low, feminine whisper saying one, terrifying word, "Xen". How did this thing know my name?!

I suddenly had full control over my body again and took the opportunity to run as fast as I could away from the voice. I didn't want to find out what it was, nor what it wanted.

I could feel the crisp floor beneath my feet as I ran. The feeling gradually disappeared, and I knew that I was no longer touching it. A sharp pain was jabbed into my back as I was thrown at a tree at an alarming speed. The feeling of no control returned to my body as I slid down the tree that I was launched at.

An ear-bleeding screech was released from all around me, deafening me. My senses had been peeled away from me. Followed by the screech was constant ringing in my ears. My head was banging.

To add to the trauma, my vision depleted to only seeing a few feet in front of me. The surrounding area was darkness. A shadowed figure was floating towards me, her head lowered. Her long, black hair fell over her face to hide it. It was clear that she was quietly laughing to herself. Similar to a young girl's giggle. She didn't say a word more which creeped me out more..

Every instinct was telling me to get up and try to run. My body wasn't listening to me. My limbs wouldn't move to get up. The figure continued to float above the ground and move toward me. He head proceeded to lift up to show her face.

It terrified me at the sight that was shown before me...

Hey! I apologise in advance that this one and the next few chapters will be shorter than usual because I am currently on holiday! I will try to fit in as much writing time as I can though and I hope that you can continue to enjoy my writing as much as I enjoy to write it!
