I jumped onto my best friend Bella's bed acting like a child, but of course I'm actually 25 freaking years old. Damn I'm getting old. Well back to the matter at hand my best friend in the whole wide world needed to get her ass up or we were going to be late for our first day of work at CPA. We went through the academy together and became friends instantly. We're both witches, but the difference between her and I is that I'm half witch and half human and Bella is full witch. I'm actually pretty jealous about it, but don't tell her that she'll play the guilt trip on me. Anyway the CPA stands for Chicago Paranormal Agency. We both by some miracle got in the same agency, but unfortunately we didn't get on the same team. She got on the X team and I got on the Z team. They are both two of the top teams which of course we would get on. Oh did I mention that we live in chicago where we rent an apartment together. It's not something to brag about but it's something. It's a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom and a kitchen that's not super small but not really huge either cause of course it's an apartment.
"Get up Bella!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs while jumping up and down on the bed.
"I don't wanna" she moaned out in her sleepy state.
"You have to it's our first day"
"Fine" she grumbles
After she had about 2 cups of coffee she was finally socially acceptable. Thank goodness for that. I guess I should probably tell you a little bit about me. I'm about 5'8 which is like the only thing I have going for me. I have brown hair with brown eyes and I'm a little chubby. Isabella or Bella is so much prettier than me, but don't tell I said that either she'll kill me with compliments and I hate them. She's about 5'5, blonde hair with blue eyes and she's a little chubby like me but it looks good on her unlike me again please with a cherry on top don't tell her that I keep saying this.
"Come on and stop dragging Lil"
"I'm sorry I'm just so excited that I got lost in my head"
"Omg sameee" We both laughed at that.
"Whose car are we taking?" I asked
"Yours of course"
"Alrighty then"
I have a red F-150 and I'm in love with it and I guess so is Bella by that response. She has a jeep that she loves but it's getting really old and she needs a new one in my opinion. We drove for about a half an hour until we got to CPA. We looked in awe at the building in front of us. The sign was a little rusty, but that just added to the awesomeness of the old brick building that I for one was already in love with.
"You ready?" I asked in a whisper
"About as ready as I can be, you?"
"About the same"
"Let's do this" We said together
We got out of the truck and started to walk towards the doors, once we were in front of them I took a breath and pushed the door open to reveal the beginning of my life, I just didn't known it then.
