Chapter 1: Growing Up

In the town of Edgewood there was a girl that goes by the name of Arilee. She is a bright sole that just loved to explore the town, She was born to live a great life with her mom Avery, Avery always taught her daughter to be brave, kind, responsible, and to just be herself. What a parent always wants for their children is what is best for them. She always her daughter how to defend herself that she taught her how to use a sword and some karate. Avery family tree was a long list of warriors. Arilee was five years old when Avery started training her. It took Arilee three years before she was ready to use a real sword. Everyday she would practice and practice until her mom said that she was ready. But underneath all the training Arilee had a soft side to her as well. On the days that she didn't have training she would get dressed in a purple dress that had little flowers all over them. She would wear her hair in a French braid and add a sparkle bow to the end. She wanted to explore outside of the town of Edgewood. She always the Kingdom of Alaric. She felt as though the kingdom was calling her name.

She would explore the Kingdom even though it was very dangerous because there is always guards that surround the castle. Arilee loved new surroundings from the smell of fresh bread, to the smells of the flowers. She even pretend that she lived in the castle. Her dreams is to help the town of Edgewood. Arilee explored the kingdom until sun down. On her way back she found something that she recognized but she didn't where. It was a a lockette that a picture of a baby in it. On the outside there is roses and the name Arilee. THis made her question her childhood. She always felt different in Edgewood. She decided to ask her mother about the lockette.

"Mom, I decided to go exploring."

"Exploring, The Kingdom of Alaric?"

"Yes!"

"I told you that want you to explore the kingdom. It is very dangerous."

"I know but I feel as though it calls my name. But... Can I ask you a question?"

"You can ask me anything. What is it?"

"On the way home I found this lockette that has my name on it. Do you know anything about it?"

"Yes, there is a story behind that locket."

"Princess Hope fell in love with a peasant and they were so in love that they had a baby together. But Princess Hope's baby was taken. In devastation they honored their daughter by making a special locket that kept their daughter alive. Every full moon they always celebrated their daughter. Everybody of the Kingdom of Alaric got a replica of the same locket. But one day Princess Hope and Even got a visit from a knight that wouldn't stop at anything to take over the kingdom. The knight saw the necklace and kept it in a magical box that wouldn't open unless the knight said so. The knight was killed and the box opened leaving the necklace in a place where noone could find it. Legends say that the necklace would appear to a royal."

"So I have a necklace that belong to a princess?"

"I don't think so Arilee there are always lockets found around the kingdom."

Arilee threw the necklace a way when she went to bed. She dreamed about the beauty of the Kingdom of Alaric The next day the necklace was laying on the bed. It was like it was calling her name. She put the necklace on decided to go exploring to find more information about the background about the necklace.
