It was a bright, and sunny day in England, but not for (Y/N). It was a stressful day for (Y/N) trying to find an Eevee, and evolve it into an Umbreon/Espeon.

"Is there even an Eevee here? I thought Eevees are common here..." (Y/N) pouted, searching around on tall grasses. 'Maybe if I borrowed Tord's Houndoom, he can sniff his way to an eevee..' The trainer thought. 'Oh. This is getting more and more stressful.' (Y/N) thought. They heard rustling getting closer to them. The pokemon appeared.

It's...

A shiny eevee.

"Oh my Arceus. It's a shiny." They said. The Eevee was startled by the trainer, and backed away slowly. "No wait. Come back. I won't hurt you." They said, slowly following the Eevee. 'I should've said "come to mama/papa"... Danggit that was good.' They thought. (Y/N) noticed the grass rustling behind the eevee. It appeared behind the shiny Pokémon. A ginger pokemon,,

"Matt??"

"(Y/N)??"

"What are you doing here?" Matt asked. "I was gonna capture this eevee." (Y/N) replied. "Funny. I was looking for an eevee." Matt said. "I spotted it first." They huffed. "Why do you want an eevee?" The ginger asked. "I'm gonna evolve it into an Umbreon/Espeon. You?" They said. "I want a Sylveon..."

"Eevee!" The pokemon huffed, grabbing both trainers attention. Eevee imitated two trainers battling. "You know,, I don't know if that's an Eevee or a Zorua." (Y/N) chuckled. "I don't get what eevee is trying to say." Matt said. "Oh, eevee says we have to battle. The winner gets to capture eevee." They said. "Let's go to a clearer surrounding. We might hit eevee." Matt said. (Y/N) carried the eevee to a clearing with Matt, and dropped it beside them. "Ready Matt?" The trainer asked. "Yeah."

"Go Ninetales!"

"Come out, [starter pkmn (second evo)]!"

~After battle~

"Aww, I lost!" Matt said, and gave (Y/N) 1550 pokédollars. The eevee ran, and leaped onto (Y/N)'s arms. "Eve! Eevee!" The eevee cried, and the grass rustled, and a pokémon came out. It was another Eevee,, but not shiny. The non-shiny sat beside the tall ginger, and bumped it's head on his leg. "(Y/N), I think it wants me to be mine." Matt said. "Hey, that's cheating." (Y/N) said. "Well I think it's fair. We both wanted an Eevee, and we got one." The ginger said, picking up the eevee.

"Is it a boy or a girl?" Matt asked the trainer. "Uh, it's a (gender). Yours?" (Y/N) asked. "Um,,, it's a (opposite gender of your eevee)." Matt said, petting the eevee. "What about the ability?" They asked. "I dunno. I don't really pay attention to abilities,,, probably adaptability." Matt said. "Weird. My Eevee has anticipation." (Y/N) said. "Huh. C'mon"

"Let's show the gang our newly caught pokémon! I bet they'll get jealous of these cuties."

"Matt. Edd has a Leafeon who can draw, Tom has a Vaporeon whose rival is Tord's Flareon, and vice versa. They probably won't get interested."

"(Y/N)! Don't ruin this for me."

"Fine. Let's go, ginger snaps."
