Another Face in the Crowd is an acrostic poem that I wrote for a challenge on the K.A.R.D. Amino app.

To write this poem, I used all four stage names and the group name itself.

I'll try my best here to explain what I meant while writing each stanza/name.

J.seph

For J.seph's part I wrote about something that bothers me a lot.

It's the fact that there are so many people in this world, each one trying to make it.

Everyone is talented in their own way, myself included.

Although, I don't believe myself to be.

I constantly compare myself to others, and I feel like everyone is better than me at everything, no matter how hard I try.

And I feel like this applies to others as well.

Groups in the KPop industry (and in pretty much every other industry) are trying to set themselves apart so that they can have successful careers.

Jiwoo

Jiwoo's part is a lot more explicit when it comes to being talented and an individual.

In this part I'm trying to express a dialogue that I have with myself a hundred times a day.

And that's me telling myself to not compare myself to others, but I still go back to it.

And me wondering if I'll ever be something in this world, if I'll ever succeed, and followed by the two answers that fight against each other to win, the

of course I'll succeed

and the

of course I won't

I actually wrote a poem similar to this before, going a lot more in depth with the whole arguing in my mind thing, and this part is very open of who I am and very personal to me.

Anyone who puts themselves out there like idols do is met with criticism from the media.

There is self doubt, there is doubt from the media.

You compare yourselves to others and you wonder if you will be successful.

B.M

B.M's part gets more into what these groups mean to me.

I've become a much happier person since I've discovered KPop, and it's no different when it comes to K.A.R.D.

And on top of all that, they're a coed group, which isn't really seen in KPop.

Which is really daring, and it's pretty motivating for me to push forward through things, to put myself out there and try.

Somin

Somin's part talks about how even though we're on other sides of the world, K.A.R.D. is helping raise me up and vice versa.

Somin's part also briefly mentions how this whole thing may be a phase, just being an obsessed teenager.

But it goes on to talk about how, yeah, maybe it is a phase, but this group will be in my life forever, and I'll still have the things I've learned from them in my mind, helping me move forward.

K.A.R.D.

This part kind of goes back to the beginning, coming full circle.

I've learned from the groups I listen to that I can be whatever I want to be and do whatever I want to do, as long as I put my mind to it.

And, the last few words (so I won't let that happen) shows that we won't give up.

I will make a name for myself, and K.A.R.D. will too.

We don't want to be forgotten, and so we'll do our best to make one person remember us for us.
