Hey guys! Okay, so I didn't write an explanation for this poem when I wrote it either, but I mean hey, let's just wing it again I guess. Oh well, let's get right into it, shall we?
I wanted to write something for the song "Healing" for a while because it was the first song that made me want to start listening more to Seventeen.
The first two lines refers to what KPop, and Seventeen, has done for me.
For a lot of people, music is an escape, and it helps you relate and feel better about the things that go on in your head. I think you understand what I'm saying.
The "dreadful deed" that I am referring to is something I can't really talk about in detail without a warning. Being in this position, there is obviously a part of me that wants to go back and stop things from going downhill.
Although, we all know I can't do that. It's impossible. What's done is done, and no matter how much I want to erase it, I can't. The only thing left to do is to heal, to move forward. And that's what they're helping me do.
They are a "guiding light" leading me to the "promised land" where I can forget my pain, learn to cope with it. The place where I can heal my wounds, and a "new life" where happier, hopeful times can ensue.
With music, you can heal, and that's exactly what this song, this group, and many others have helped me do, and that's all I wanted to try and portray in this poem.
