Chapter five ♡

"Jess?!...jess omg please wake up" I heard a soft voice say.

I opened my eyes and through the blur i could see Ed! His messy ginger hair, and a blue hoodie i could see looking down at me. He nudged my arm trying to get me up. My eyes focused, i could see more clearly now.

"Jess thank god! What happened are you okay?" Ed's soft voice was so calming. I was in alot of pain though, im pretty sure i had bruises on my face and my stomach was aching. Ed lifted my back up off the floor so i could sit. He looked at my face with a concerned look in his eyes.

"Are you okay?!" Ed asked again.

"y..yeah my stomach and nose hurt though" 

Ed picked me up and carried me to the sofa he lay me down and walked off into the kitchen. He came back out with a glass of water and pain killers.

"Thankyou" I said in a crokey voice

"What happened to you last night?! Theres blood on your face" Ed looked at me so sad

"I..i'll be fine Ed please don't worry, how come youre hear anyway?"

"I rang you like six times i haven't seen you for days and i was wondering if you wanted to hang out but you didn't answer so then i rang Megan and she said she hadn't seen you either so i got worried and found you here like this!" Ed explained. It was so sweet that he was so worried about me, it was nice to know he cared. I looked up at him and smiled my face ached and i quinced in pain. Ed knelt down infront of me and held my hands in his.

"Please tell me what happened jess, we have to get you cleaned up!" Ed exclaimed

I looked at him and sighed, " my ex-boyfriend he came round here early in the morning and thought i cheated on him with you and.. a..nd then he did this to me." I said quietly i felt so ashamed

"Oh my god" Ed said. I looked at him with tears in my eyes trying to hold them back.

"Listen i will take you to the hospital and get them to clean you up,you will be safe with me" Ed reassured me. I hobbled off the sofa and went to the bathroom i looked an absolute mess! I had three bruises and blood on my face, there was black on my cheeks where my mascara had run. I went into my room and changed my jumper, i had bruises and blood all up my one arm where he had thrown me against the wall multiple times. I came back into the living room where Ed was waiting he came up to me and hugged me. "Don't you worry, ill make sure you are safe" He kissed my head. 

We got outside my apartment and Ed opened the door offering me into the passenger side of his car. Ed sang along to the radio and offered me to go to one of his gig's in a few days if i felt up to it. We arrived at the hospital and a really nice nurse with short blonde hair took me into a room and cleaned me up. She asked me questions about how this happened so i had to explain about last night and my ex-boyfriend. She was very concerned and i told her i would take care of it, she gave me a card with a number on and told me if things got anyworse i could speek to these people.

What i didn't realise was i had a piece of glass stuck in my foot where the frame smashed. When the nurse had finished checking me over and cleaning my face i walked out of the room to find Ed sat there waiting for me. Ed looked up at me and smiled, "lets go get you some Starbucks"

"aw that sounds great!" I said

We wen't to Starbucks and Ed rang Megan and Kim to tell them what happened. After our starbucks we went for a walk where we met Meg and Kim. 

"Im going to kill him!" Kim said furiously running up to me and hugging me.

"Why would he even do that to you?" Meg asked. They both looked at my bruise covered face and hugged me. "Are you okay?" They both asked

"Yeah im good, ill be fine don't worry about me!"

Ed took me home we both went up to my apartment and he helped me clean up. We sat there with mugs of hot tea and watched Friends.

"So you coming to my gig on Friday?" Ed asked

"Hmm,might not" I looked up at him and winked

"Oh fine then, suit yourself" Ed said turning his head away trying to ignore me

"Yes i would LOVE to come!" I exclaimed sounding a bit sarcastic nudging his arm

"You sure?!" 

"Yes i am! 100%" I smiled. He looked at me grabbed my hand and held it, i looked down at his hand now covering mine i looked back up at him and he kissed me on the forehead, i blushed.
