Chapter 23 - Brothers

Alpha woke up at the top of the Pride Rock again, since Simba won't let him into the main den.

"Another day..." Alpha said as he yawned at the sunset.

After Alpha went to get some water at the watering hole, He went to the place Nala said to meet her tomorrow.

Then, Simba and Nala came together.

"Hey, Kopa." Nala said to him.

"Ok, it's Alpha alright? Not. Kopa." Alpha said to Nala as he got annoyed.

"Ok so Simba and Alpha, why don't you start with why you guys don't like each other anymore?" Nala asked. 

"Yeah..... can we start with hey?" Alpha asked. 

"Ok, fine. Start with 'hey'. I'll leave you two alone so you can talk." Nala said as she walked away.

"So.... hey." Alpha said.

"Hey." Simba said, looking annoyed.

"So, why do you hate me?" Alpha asked.

"Well, you hurt your best friend..." Simba said.

"Simba, it's been so long since that happened!" Alpha said, getting annoyed of Simba.

"But you hurt him!" Simba said, defending himself.

"But let it go!" Alpha said.

"I can't!" Simba said.

"Simba! I'm the one who hurt him, and now I'm over it! So you should be able to let it go by now!" Alpha shouted to Simba.

"But I'm the king! I'm responsible if someone gets hurt!" Simba said.

"So you're like that just because you have to be responsible when something happens?!" Alpha asked.

"No! I mean that.... You know what? I'm not even going to explain it to you." Simba said, annoyed.

"Oh good! Cause I don't even don't even want to hear it!" Alpha said.

"Fine!" Simba said.

"Double fine!" Alpha said.

"Well see you around, 'Kopa'!" Simba said.

"You too, 'king of the year'!" Alpha said, walking away, as Simba walked away too.

After the argument, Alpha went somewhere. 

Meanwhile, Simba went to the main den.

"So, did you two clean things up?" Nala asked.

"No. We had an argument." Simba said.

"Again?" Nala asked.

"Yes..." Simba said.

"Simba, do you still miss him?" Nala asked.

"Um, no. We're not brothers anymore." Simba said.

"But you said that you missed him." Nala said.

"But that was while ago. Why would I miss him?" Simba said.

"Just think about it. You two were best friends! You'll be brothers again. I'm sure." Nala said.

"Well, what do I do?" Simba asked.

"Why don't you two start with being friends then, huh?" Nala asked.

"I mean, it's not a bad idea... better then being brothers." Simba said.

"Well, find him, apologize, talk, and make things better." Nala said, smiling.

"Ok." Simba said.

Meanwhile....

"Did you do what I said?" A mysterious lion voice spoke up.

"Yeah. That was easy." Another lion voice said.

"Here's your new mission." The mysterious lion voice said.

After a while later...

"Alpha?" Simba said as he searched for him.

"Um... Simba? What do you want?" Alpha said as he walked to Simba.

"Look, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm sorry." Simba said, looking sorry.

"I'm... sorry too." Alpha said.

"Well, since we don't really want to be brothers again, why don't we start with being friends?" Simba asked.

"You know what? No." Alpha said.

"Why?" Simba asked.

"I don't want to be friends. I want to be brother again." Alpha said, smiling.

"Ok, if you say so. Bro." Simba said, smiling.

"No. I know so. Bro." Alpha said, smiling.

When the brothers went to the main den, Nala was waiting there.

"So, you two friends again?" Nala asked.

"No." Simba said, making Nala confused.

"We're brothers again." Alpha said, making Nala smile.

"Good!" Nala said.

"So, this freak's here now again, is he?" Kiara said as she walked in.

"Hey! I'm not a freak!" Alpha said.

"Oh yeah? What makes you say that?" Kiara said, as Alpha was silent.

"Kiara, be nice to your uncle." Simba said.

"Why? I thought you didn't like him." Kiara asked.

"But we're brother again now. He's my brother, which means that he's your uncle now. Ok, princess?" Simba asked as he nuzzled Kiara, as she nuzzled him back.

"Ok, fine daddy." Kiara said, as she walked away.

"Hey Uncle Al!" Kion said as he walked in.

"Hey, Kion. What's up?" Alpha said as he smiled.

"The guard is having trouble with the baboons. Especially Fuli." Kion said, making Alpha chuckle.

"She doesn't like baboons, huh?" Alpha asked.

"Nope." Kion asked.

"Anyway, can you help us? I know tat you're not the Lion Guard anymore, but we need you." Kion said.

"Ok. Let's go." Alpha said.

"Be careful, son." Simba said to Kion as Kion walked away with Alpha.

So did you guys enjoy? Simba and Alpha are FINALLY brothers again! But there might be a new threat. Probably those mysterious lion voice guys. But, you'll have to read more to find out. Also, make sure you read A New Start, a new book of mine. I don't know if you guys want me to continue that book, but I'll just continue it. The other book has some twist plots too.
