~*~Lily's POV~*~

~27th October 2008- My 12th Birthday~

"..Happy Birthday dear Lily! Happy Birthday to you!" Everyone sung. I blew out the candles on my chocolate cake and smiled as the smoke blew away into the outside air.

"Thanks everyone" I said as I stepped away my bare feet touching the cold grass. I tucked a piece of fallen hair behind my ear, and spied a boy standing by the doorway to the house. He had dark brown hair, styled in a flick, and beautiful blue eyes. He was staring at me, but as soon as I saw him he looked away and took a sip of the drink in his hand. I walked over to Hailey who was talking to her cousin Cole.

"Sorry Cole." I said as I dragged her away.

"Hey!" she complained.

"Hailey. Who's that boy standing at the doorway to the house?" I asked.

"I've never seem him before." I continued.

"Oh! Him? That's Louis. I invited him." she said waving at him.

"He's.. He's.. Really cute." I said sounding like a 6 year old in a teddy bear shop.

"Go introduce yourself!" she said.

"Oh I don't kn-" I started before she nudged me forward.

"Go on" she said before turning round to talk to Cole again. I awkwardly walked over to Louis. He was staring at the ground when I reached him.

"Hi." I said.

"Oh uh me? Hi!" he said with a beaming smile.

"I'm Lily. Lily Evans" I said holding out my hand.

"Oh uh I'm Louis. Louis James." he said taking my hand and shaking it.

~ 6 years later~

~27th October 2014- My joint 18th birthday party with Hailey~

I knocked on the door with my right hand. Skateboard in the left.

"Lily! Happy Birthday!" Hailey said as she opened the door greeting me with a hug.

"And Happy Birthday... Party!" I said returning the hug.

"So you ready?" she asked.

"Always." I said showing her my skateboard.

We skated down the driveway and to the park.

"It's time to show those boys what we got." Hailey said quickly skating over to the skate park.

We walked in the gate and saw a boy about to finish. He skated up the last ramp but lost control and fell on the floor.

"We can beat that." Hailey whispered. We walked up to where the boys were at the top of the highest ramp.

"Hey! This is no place for girls." One of the the tougher boys said.

"Yeah people seriously get hurt here." a slightly nicer boy said.

"Step aside." Hailey said. I tied my hair up in a ponytail and Hailey had hers in bunches.

"Ready?" she asked.

"Ready." I replied.

We skated down the ramp and approached the different obstacles.

We cleared every one with Jumps, twists and turns. Instead of going back up the ramp to finish we continued straight out of the gate.

"See ya losers!" Hailey shouted. We high fived and skated off into the distance. Leaving the boys staring in awe.

We skated all the way back to Hailey's and through the front door.
