~*~Hailey's POV~*~

I sat in my room, reading Lexi's story on an app which you could write stories on.

I was really happy for her that her story was published, because it was really good! I had helped her sort out the script, but I couldn't help her judge who plays who because I wanted to audition.

I liked the character Hope, because I felt like I knew her.

I got out of bed, and started packing my things for school. I had Art, Music and Drama today, and I needed to rehearse for the play too. Aditions started tommorow, and lasted a week.

I heard the bell ring, and realised just how late I was. I ran to my class, to find that it was cancelled. My Art teacher was ill, and couldn't teach.

So I went off to the music room, where I listened to people sing, and practice for music. I just got out my laptop and worked on my Science Paper. I was typing a load of facts that I knew about the subject when Lily came in.

"Oh! Hey Lil! Whats up?" I said, a grin on my face.

"Oh. Hey Hailey. Uh... Well... I wanted to get the part of April in the play but I don't know what I should do for my audition! I mean, I can't exactly preform a scene alone because April never speaks! Unless I want a part where I play April at a younger age, when she still talks!" She said really fast.

"I could audition with you and we could perform the scene at the beggining of the book - Where April and Hope meet! Because I kinda want to play Hope... And I liked that scene! Because I feel like its my sort of Scene! And Im sure it will get you the part! Lexi's actually the judge and I'm sure you'll get the part!" I said, matching her pace.

"But what about Abbie... Won't she get the part?" Lily asked, worry clear in her voice.

"Well... I know you're better than her - And you're auditioning with me! I think we will get the part!" I said, reassuringly, "And anyway - Do you really think that Abbie can not talk for that long! And be with Louis for that long without trying to kiss him!"

We both laughed for a bit, at the thought of Abbie trying not to talk for that long!

It was the day of the auditions, and we were all set to preform. Well... I was. Lily was going a bit crazy, mumbling under her breath about how she might forget her lines, or trip. I decided to give her a splash of reality. And by that, I mean I dumped my water bottle on her head. Harsh, I know. But it worked.

"Lily! You don't have any lines! It's all acting! And you are only singing Here's Hope! Because that is the main song! So CALM DOWN!" I said. She looked murderous, but calmed down.

It worked.

"Lily Evans and Hailey Short." A voice called, summoning us onto Stage.

"Well. Here we go." I said, trying to keep any worry out of my voice. It takes no fear.

We walked onto stage, and I could see that Lily was unable to talk because of nerves. Good thing she had no lines!

"I'm Hailey, and I'm auditioning for Hope Lilac Chance. And this is Lily - Auditioning for April Thompson," I said, introducing us.

"Why is Lily soaked through?" Lexi asked, slightly worried.

"Oh! She was getting too nervous. So I tipped water on her head! Can we begin?" I said, as if it was completely normal.

The two teachers and Lexi nodded, and Lily and I began our scene...

~After Auditions~

"You did great!" Lexi said, reassuring us once she was free from the teachers.
