Chapter 10: Misfortunes Of a Girl Named KateLynn
March 9th, 2018
I've always known I'd mess things up... Always have, always will.
Looking through the mirror all I see is a girl out of place.
She's a girl who's overweight. Her hair is awfully short to be pretty.
For once you're actually right... I look terrible. I can't change my hair but I guess I could lose a couple of pounds.
I set my feet near the weight scale... I was only 110 last week. But that was in America.
Stepping up on it the numbers go in a blur then slowly stop.
125 pounds. 15 pounds more than America...
"Kate? Why are you on the scale?" Haliee stares at me strangely.
I fake a smile and push the scale out of her sight. "Oh. It's just nothing."
She nods her head but looks at me still unsure. "Well breakfast is downstairs. Your mom made waffles."
She walks away and I let out the breath that I was holding. Just then Jasper walks over and stares at me.
"Don't" He turns back around and walks away. I watch him dumbfounded.
I follow after him still questioning why he said that.
"Kate! I've got a whole plate full of waffles for you! Come and eat them." Mom walks past me handing me the plate.
Shanti storms into the house slamming the front door. He suddenly has a petrified face when he looks to my mother.
"Don't slam the house doors." She sternly says. He nods his head vigorously then runs upstairs.
"I wonder what gots his panties in a twist." Haliee jokes. I try to stifle my laugh when he walks into the room a few seconds later.
His hair is covered from the red paint Jasper and I spent an hour setting up. The rest of him is covered in feathers and flour that Haliee set up.
My mom walks into the room with my father and both don't hold back... Their laughter probably could be heard throughout all of Europe.
Shanti just stands there looking pissed and us three divas. "You people are completely insane." He growls then stomps to the bathroom.
"Guys we should steal his towel and clothes..." Jasper whispers. "Then we could run and get our swimming suits on and pretend we were there the whole time." I look at Jasper then to Haliee.
Haliee nods her head and we wait by the bathroom for the water to turn on.
Once it starts and hear Shanti get in, Jasper sneaks in stealing Shanti's towel and clothes.
"Go go go!" He whispers shouts at us. We scramble to our rooms and into our swim wear. Jumping into the pool wasn't probably the best idea.
My body burn from the chlorine and I guess Haliee saw my pain because she immediately pulls me out.
I look down at my stomach and then to the pool. From where I was pulled from is streams of blood.
One of the bullet holes opened. Jasper is yelling something at Haliee and then I fade in and out of reality.

(Jasper's POV)

She's really gone. She died at 4 in the morning yesterday. Everyone was there; hoping that she wouldn't die.
Her funeral is next week. On a Monday... At 6 AM... Too early in the morning but I'd do anything just to see her alive and laughing.
Have you ever got that feeling of just inadequacy? To every thing and everyone. That's how I felt. I couldn't do anything to help.
Her parents went through a deep depression through this whole week.
Rosie and Asher are moving into their dad's house, once Rosie has her last operation with Chemo.
Shanti might move in with them. And me? I don't know. My mom died from pneumonia 6 years ago and Dad died from age last year so it's only my 4 other siblings and I.
Kate's parents said they wanted to take care of my family ever since Brice (the rich guy from chapter 4) put a bounty on my head in America.
Now I have a full education at a high school here starting next week with Shanti and Asher.
Haliee and her father got deported to a new area so now they're in the USA in Arizona.
We are in contact every weekend. Shanti won't stop teasing me about it.... It's pretty stupid.
I can't be rude to him though cause we're all just trying to get though it.
Death seems like unspoken words someone will never say. Kate is gone and there's nothing to change that.
Thomas left with Haliee so he could get out of this place. Which is good cause if I saw his snarky ugly face I would have best him to death...
He has or had something against Shanti and Asher but I don't know what. But if they hate him for something that bad then I would too.
There was a full fledged case on Kate when they found metal pieces in her body.
Implanted metal pieces. They took out all they could find. 'Brutal murder' they called it but in reality it was just a burst shot gun that Brice shot at the hospital.
I am skipping first day of school for her. I guess everyone that met her fell in love with her at some point.
She would smile and make everyone feel the excitement radiating from her. The worst part is she won't do that anymore.
She won't get to walk up on the stage and get her diploma. She won't get to go on her first actual date. She won't have her first love.
She won't get married. Or have any kids, she won't sing soft lullabies to her children to help them sleep.
She won't get to grow old and see her grand children grow up. She won't be here anymore. She's absolutely gone. No more.
Now I get why people say when someone dies it's like all the light in the world disappeared.
And I guess you could say that I loved a girl named KatLynn Alston Tyler.

Lol. I killed Kate. Jk I totally bawled writing this chapter and I couldn't write it cause it was too saddening...
But hey... I wrote it. So lots of shame in that. This chapter was the hardest to write because recently I've been having troubles with depression.
I mean why not write a crummy story about a girl that is completely insane?
Right?Well thank you everyone for waiting patiently. I will be doing a couple of more stories but this one will be the most cringe worthy out of all😂.
Thanks and See y'all later🤠
