^Their house^
"Wake up, Lucas wake up." The voice sounded thousands of miles away, it was hard to understand who it was coming from. "Wake up," the voice sounded soft, a gentle tone. I could feel myself start to slip back away before I felt my shoulder squeezed and I jumped, my eyes opened quickly. It was Jared.
"Enjoying your sleep that much huh?" He joked as he opened the door on his side and got out, leaving his hand in my view to grab. I was reluctant to grab it, but being barely awake I did it, my eyes feeling dry, my head also ached; I made sure to make a mental note to never sleep against a door in a car again. Once I stepped out of the limo I rubbed my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair. "Oh we're here." I said to myself as I look around.
My eyes came to focus on a home, the structure was so unique. It seemed to be mostly made of glass, golden glows emit from the large glass rooms, I could see everything inside. There were several sides to the two-story house that was covered with black siding, he must really like black. I let out a small giggle as I tap at my lower lip, my large tail swaying side to side as I gazed at the massive building. I narrowed my gaze to note that the bathroom was not concealed, both glass as well. I could feel my cheeks flush. "U-uh. . .Jared why is the bathroom exposed?" I asked in a grumble.
"No one lives near, the first people are five miles away, in all directions. We are secluded here. Plus, there's a trick to the glass." He snorted before he began the walk towards the stairs that led up to the house. "I'll show you to your room, I am sure you are exhausted." He replied in a lighter tone.
"Oh, okay." Was all I could manage as I followed him to the steps, slowly making my way up them to the very doors that led me into my new house. I stop on the last step and take a look around, we were really concealed in trees and woods, I loved it. I exhale and run my tongue over my saber teeth slowly before walking inside the house, our house. "It's so modern and glass-like. Do you like glass that much?" I asked as I gazed around, the stairs inside had glass on either side.
"Just something about, being seen." Jared murmured in a silky tone as he grabbed my jacket and began to pull it off of my shoulders, it made me jump but I didn't protest. "O-. . .Oh. Do you enjoy watching things?" I asked as he let out a chuckle and put my jacket on a chair in the kitchen, before walking to the fridge. "Quite the opposite." He said as he opened the fridge. "Want something to drink?" He asked.
He liked being watched? What was that supposed to mean?! I could feel my heart begin to race and my hands tremble behind my back before I was drawn out of my thoughts to watch the tall male loom in the fridge. I glance around before spotting a wine wrack and I smile big. "How about some wine? We can talk over a few glasses." I asked as I walk over to the cabinets and look for some wine glasses.
After digging around and struggling I finally found to large globe glasses and leaned back off of my tip toes and stumbled a bit with a squeak. It was not uncommon of me to trip over my own tail; it was a blessing to have such a big tail yet a curse when it came to doing simple things. "Ah!" I squeaked as I fell backwards, but I felt a pair of deathly cold arms loop around my waist and catch me from behind. "You should be more careful" The voice was so close, I could feel the warm breath on my ear and I quickly scrambled up holding the glasses with a soft exhale. "G-got the glasses!" I said and scurried away from the vampire and grabbed the bottle of wine that was out on the counter with the cork missing.
"No thank you? How rude of my husband." Jared teased as he came around the other side of the counter and watched my shaky hand pour two glasses of red wine for the both of us. He seemed amused but said nothing until I as done. "Thank you." He said as he grabbed one glass and motioned me to follow with the other. "Let's talk."
