The smell of food was strong, strong enough to wake me up anyway. I slowly open my eyes and rub them with my fists before I sit up. My hand aches and I groan a bit before I slide out of bed and let my feet rest down on the cold wood flooring of my room. I should be grateful for Jared letting me move in, instead of him living with my parents an I. It would be nothing but bickering and fighting and that is the last thing I need. Slowly I rub the back of my back before wandering back to the same dresser as last night and digging out some clothes.
I finished changing and brushing my fingers through my hair when the smell caught my attention again. Eggs, bacon, ham, even the smell of orange juice was making my mouth water. Curse having heightened senses. I couldn't avoid Jared so I would just go and see why a vampire was cooking food he couldn't have.
"Give him the benefit of the doubt," I told myself as I walked down the stairs, my feet ere bare and silent as I made my way down slowly and peaked my head into the kitchen to see the vampire in the kitchen with a rather tattered apron around his waist. I couldn't help but giggle and watch as he made up two plates and poured two glasses of orange juice. "Good morning to you too!" He said in a rather upbeat tone as he grabbed the plates and carried them to the table then bringing over the glasses. "Come, eat."
I nodded slowly and crossed the room to the empty chair and sat down, feeling Jared push my chair in easily and then settling in across from me. His elbows resting on the table before he gazed over at me. "So, I did say we have plans. Would you like to know or not." He teased as he motioned me to begin eating.
"Oh absolutely! I almost forgot!" I spoke remembering the words from the night before. I felt excited yet very nervous, I wasn't afraid of this vampire, but others I was for sure. I grabbed my fork and began to dig into my breakfast, a loud purr erupting from my throat in delight; it tasted amazing! I knew my heart was very content, at least for a little while. "This is delicious Jared!" I insisted before licking my lips and fangs slowly before looking back up at him who was locked onto me, his eyes holding a hunger, but his eyes remained glacier. I was a bit confused but said nothing as he cleared his throat and the hungry glare was replaced with a solemn one.
"We're going on a honeymoon."
I nearly spat my orange juice out everywhere, I coughed and wheezed before looking at the taller male who was smirking at me. "A what!" I gasped. "A honeymoon!? We're not actually married, well, we are but! We're not in love with each other." I insisted feeling my face burn with embarrassment, along with my ears that fold against my head. "Its sweet of you to think we should do that but, let's face it we'll never be that close." I grumble looking down at my lap.
"I don't expect us to have sex, if that is what you are implying is the reasoning for a honeymoon." Jared said bluntly as he sipped his drink, the expression he made was quite funny, he crunched up his nose and swallowed in a few big gulps. I was too busy watching his adams apple and his lips moisten to focus fully. "I think it would do you some good to travel and see the world, plus, I own a nice place i'd like to take you too. Get a different sight than this region."
Sex?! Why would he think that's what I was thinking! That's the last thing on my mind! I cup my head in embarrassment and groan. "I wasn't thinking about sex, besides I am not your type." I said before looking up at him just to see him grin and lift an eyebrow. "Not my type? I mean, we are married." He did have a point, but, it's not like we got to pick each other; we didn't even know what each other looked like before we got married. "Anyhow, we're leaving early in the morning, and we need to go out and buy some things for the trip." He said standing up.
