The stench of alcohol was clear in the air as numerous teenagers danced against each other while sweating till their limits. The big mansion was no match for the students of Willard High, too wild and too immature for their own nature. They were like animals in a cage because Jasper for one was banging his fist against the lounge door, crying and shouting violently. Could a boy of 17 even cry with what he has in his life? It was nothing compared to the life of others because he was the Senator's son and he had nothing to worry about. Others on the other hand, had mountains weighing them down in metaphorical terms which basically gave the same blood, sweat and tears as having that.

"This is the last time I'm coming to this shit of a party." Fury grumbled loudly and fell onto a nearby couch. The dancing area was already packed. Packed as in literally packed; no air space whatsoever. Just dancing with a few lowly sluts didn't really give Fury any pleasant memories and of course that was not enough to cool him down from what happened today at home.

It was around the time when the sun was high up with its mighty rays glazing everyone with heat and sweat. Fury had just gotten back from school and walked into his room. His step-mother, Clarissa Ross, was shuffling about. She grabbed his clothes from his large wardrobe and threw it around the room in desperation of finding something. Her blonde hair was jumping in reaction to her movements and in one swift pull, she held up a plastic bag containing a lighter, two cigarette packets, one open and the other still in its slim packet, along with a small transparent orange tablet container. Her lips curled up into a crooked smirk when she saw him at the door.

"Look what I've got here, Damie." She swung the plastic bag back and forth then wagged her eyebrows up and down. "Does you father know about this?"

He didn't answer her useless question and walked in glaring. A glare so deadly that she could have died if looks could kill. All the while, he put his bag down and grabbed a new shirt and a pair of jeans from the set of clothes which had not yet been thrown to the floor.

"Awe, Damie, don't glare at me like that, it'll hurt your eyes, and what's more, your lungs and mind must be suffering since you've been secretly helping yourself to these." She looked at the bag in her hand then at him. "I think what you're doing will really help me and Jacob, though I do still think I should tell your father about this."

He couldn't help but roll his eyes when she mentioned Jacob. He was barely 10 and she was already plotting his life for him. Fury imagined Jacob as a teenager and an adult but that was impossible because his IQ was too low that his mum even thought she could rule the damn world (and Mr. Ross) if she could get rid of Fury. That plan was like some cartoon bad-guy's, though it was perfect for her role. She was wicked and cackled secretly behind closed doors when dreaming about all the things she could have and destroy.

[damn, so childish, what u doin heera Dx]

"Can you just leave already, I need to have a shower and when I am back, I don't want to see your ugly face and my clothes still strewn across the floor. So clean this up and get out of here or else." He opened the door to his en suite.

"Or else what, Damie?" She folded her arms with a smile.

"Or else, I will shove your damn face into a furnace that's downstairs in the garden, inside the watchman's lodge, you got me, woman?" He smiled at her with the most kindest smile he could ever pull.

Hers dropped as soon as she realized that he might just do it since he never lies when pulling such a sadistic smile like that. However, just as he was about to step into his en suite, she shouted. "You should just give up and let Peter and Jacob inherit after your father. You will never inherit your father's wealth in this state anyway, so why agree to come to this year's annual family gathering? All you'll ever do, and has been doing ever since, is to make a fuss and embarrass us in front of many important people and ruin our reputation. And this year, you'll do exactly that, and what's more, your father might just have his second heart attack this time since this year's is VERY important."

"Oh? What makes you so sure about that?" His eyes shun a little amusement in how she acted so childish at her age.

She folded her arms and rolled her eyes. "Damie, Peter is much better than you, he's already a manager at the company and you're still a kid who thinks he can do whatever he wants and screams like a child now and then." Her look changed as her face lit up. "I am the rightful wife of Julien while your mother, the first wife, already divorced him before she was even pregnant, and, boy, did you realize that you were the kid born out of wedlock? You're the illegitimate child since your mother was a complete slut, touching other women's men and ever since, she was a viscous PROSTITUTE!" She shouted her last word with such pride which angered Fury.

"Shut up! Don't talk about my mum like that!!" He growled at her and pushed her back, making her fall on to the floor and hit her head hard on a sharp corner of the bedside table. The next thing that followed was the unstoppable flow of red blood from Clarissa's forehead. The moment he noticed that she was bleeding, he shut his eyes and cursed that she would just stop this and just let him end this lonesome life.

"How dare you do that to me?!" She stood up with embarrassment and physical pain. "That hurt so much!" She screamed and felt her forehead where the wound was excruciating so much pain and blood. "Oh my god!" As soon as her eyes met the bright color on her hand, she fainted on the spot.

He couldn't take any of her nonsense anymore, and knowing his father, he knew that he'll let this slide, maybe just ground him for tomorrow and make him apologize to her but other than that, Mr. Ross wouldn't do much to Fury, which has been the case ever since Fury had come to live at the Ross' estate about 12 years ago. He called for the housemaid and left the house before getting nagged by any of his step-brothers or Clarissa's mother.
