The pain was more than enough to wake him. He grabbed for whomever's hand that was aiding his head. "Marilyn, can't you be a bit more gentle? And why's your wrist bare?" He opened his eyes and met a clueless girl who seemed to be around his age, maybe a few years older. "Who are you?" He sat up wincing as his head was aching so much. "Ugh, what the hell?" He looked around in confusion of his surroundings. He wasn't at a place he knew, rather, he was in a bedroom which was confusing because it only had the bed he was laying on and a white wardrobe to his left.
"You hurt your head when you blacked out last night." The girl before him smiled a little which soon disappeared just as it had came. "Can you lie back down so that I can finish putting the bandage on?"
"What? I'm hurt?!" When he attempted to touch the wounded area, he clicked his tongue at the forceful grab at his arm. "Let go."
"I need to enclose the wound from getting infected any further, so don't touch it." She loosened her hold on him but pulled his arm firmly to put it down onto the bed. "The wound is quite small but blood keeps flowing since when you got hit, the brick had pierced deep into your skin. You also twisted your ankle quite a little, so you'll need to rest awhile." Without leaving another say for Fury, she quickly plastered a square dressing sterile onto his wounded area.
"vse gotovo?" The man in his early forties entered into the brightly lit room. His eyes skimmed over the two then just as he had appeared, he left through the door swiftly.
"Do I know that man? He seems familiar." Fury scrunched his eyebrows then realization clicked over him. "Wait, am I in rehab or something?"
"No. This is not rehab or whatever that thing is. This is my home and so is this my room." She stood up from where she was sitting on a chair beside him. "And now that your wound is all safe, you should rest for a few more hours before you return home."
"No way, I'm not staying for another second!" He attempted to stand up but dropped down after another pull from the questioning girl. "What's wrong with you! I need to get home."
"It's three in the morning and you think you can stagger back to wherever your home is?" She crossed her arms against her chest. "I don't think so, and if you're thinking of running away, just know that you won't get far in the woods that surround this place for another 20 miles."
He glared at her attitude with scrutinizing eyes. She was about five inches shorter than him but her attitude topped her the most along with her pale blue eyes outlined by thin eyeliner and contrasting long dark brown hair. She was wearing a white blouse with a pair of long black Jersey trousers. "And why would I stay here when I don't even know you? You could be keeping me on drugs all the while."
"If that's what you think, you can do what you want. I just thought of helping and since I did, I'm satisfied with my effort but if you really want to strain yourself, then so be it." She shrugged then left the room to leave him by himself.
