Winter Kiss

Chapter Four - The Curse

*Normal POV*

"It's you! I'm not dreaming right?" The girl cupped her mouth. Tears overflowing from her eyes. "Killionix! It's really you!" She cannot believed herself.

"Yes, it's me. Care to give me a hug, my princess?" He asked.

The girl sat on the bed then gently hugged the guy. Tears still visible on her cheeks.

"I can't believed you're still alive." She told him. "I thought I'd lost you."  She hugged him tight, nesting her forehead on his left shoulder.

"I can't die and let my princess suffer sadness and eternity alone." He assured her, stroking her hair. "Now that I've finally found you, I will never leave or let you go."

Still teary eyed, she face him and cup his cheeks with her hands. "I promise I will never let you go too."

"My princess, with this eternal life you cast on me, I will never leave your side." He reassured her.

"I thought I didn't transform you into a vampire.. I thought my bite didn't work its magic." She told him.

It was his turn to cup her face and kissed her forehead.

"To make the long story short.. After that incident, I found myself covered with blood.. The bullet in my chest pulled out by itself.. I searched for you everywhere, but you were gone.. I knew myself that I died, but I'm still breathing.. Then it strucks me, the never ending thirst for blood.. I hunted for unexpected victims along the way.. Leaving their carcasses behind.. I searched for you for 90 years.."

"I'm sorry Killionix.. If I knew that the magic will work late, I should have waited until you woke up..  There were so many hunters that night.. Everyone died that night.. Even mother who protected me from them.. I stayed away from their tracks, found the best time to kill them one by one.. Until no one was after me.." She clenched her fists. Remembering those moments was still hurtful for her.. "That time, I cannot forgive myself.. You were just a fragile human back then, but you still protected me.. I should be the one who protected you, I'm stronger than you.." She hugged him tight..

"My princess, I know that there's so many things you want to talk with me but"  He trailed off..

"What was it Killionix?" She asked..

"I'm a little thirsty.." He said..

"Ow right, you just woke up.. Wait I'll go get something.." She stand up but Killionix hold her arm.. "Hmmm, what is it?"

"I want to take it from you.." He blushed a little.. His crimson eyes caught her gaze..

"Ah! Well okay.." She shyly sat beside him and unbuttoned her trench coat.. She then exposed her neck to him.. "Drink well" She nervously said..

Killionix move closer to Noriko.. Her scent began to fill the room.. Without warning, he hugged her tight and they both fall on the beddings *Poof!* He let a nervous chuckle as he began to lick her neck.. Then he bit her.. As her blood starts to fill him up, Noriko gently hug him and patted his head while humming like she always did when they were children..

Killionix licked her neck again to clean her wound and then nested on her chest, listening on her humming.. It was her sleeping lullaby for him.. "My princess.." He murmured as he gently close his eyes, he knew that he found her.. And he vowed secretly to protect his only princess, for as long as his body lives..

"Sleep well my Killionix.." She murmured.. Hugging him one last time as she also closed her eyes, succumbing to sleep..
