*The start of Corinne / Scarlett's recording*
I was tired of being druggy, awkward, no self-esteemed Scarlett. "Zac, I'm leaving." I said putting my clothes back on. "What do you mean, that was amazing." He said. "I'm starting fresh. Without you." I opened the door and walked out, pulling it shut in his face. "Scarlett, Corinne, I love you." I stopped mid-way and dropped my head. Letting the tears fall, I kept walking. I went home and dyed my hair back to it's normal brown and started over as I said I would. I asked Danny if he would do me a huge favor, "Danny, can I have your apartment?" He looked at me funny, "I'll give you my rent I just need it to be in your name and stuff." I said. He continued looking at me. "Just think about it and i'm going to get a job to get income and please think. But don't tell mom yet, I'll tell her." I begged. "Yes, sure." I jumped up and hugged him. "Thank you thank you thank you I love you so much!" I exclaimed.
I drove to the Country Club to see if the job was still open. "You can start tomorrow." They said. I already applied and done the interview, they were just waiting on me to come back. I still kind of wanted to be in Zac's life just as much as me in his. So I would ease into it. I went back to the store that day and bought packing boxes. I loaded all my stuff into Danny's and my car and took it to the apartment. I was going to get my bed and stuff later, because I wasn't ready to just get up and go. "Mom, i'm moving." I said. She jumped in excitement, "Yaay, I was hoping you would be soon because John is going to be over more often and I know how you don't really like him."
"Okay then..... This worked out perfect." I slowly walked away and off into my room. I looked around at how fast I packed my stuff when it takes like a day to pack my bag for a vacation. I laid on my bed for a few minutes and left to go set up my apartment. "Hey, hey, hey." I shouted waiting for a response. I went in the bedroom and checked everywhere else and Danny was nowhere to be found. I swept the floors and vacuumed the carpets before I took my shoes off. I couldn't stand a gritty ground. I plugged in my speaker in the living room and let it blast. While unpacking my clothes, Danny walked in with some ice cream. "Danny, can I just have your bed?" I was pushing it, but it was worth a shot. "I'm leaving most of this furniture. My new place has already been furnished." He said feeding me some. "Oh well thanks, but you can take this comforter, i'll design." I said throwing it off the bed. I wrote household items that I could pick up on my next trip to Target, I would get my decorative pillows and stuff from Rooms to Go.
*Zac's POV*
I don't understand why she left? Was it bad? "Ugghh!!!!!" I screamed throwing the item in my hand. "My phone!" I picked it up, it had a crack and some shattered pieces at the bottom. Scarlett, why? So many questions were running through my head. This might be a joke, yea, she's going to come back tomorrow. I laid down and covered my face with a pillow. There was a knock on the door, I jumped up and ran to it. "Scar-" It was my neighbor, "I heard you scream and something fall, are you okay?" Andrea was her name, she walked in after me and sat on the couch. "No, i'm not alright. My girlfriend left and I don't know if she's coming back? She's been acting very strange." I said. "It'll be alright." I wanted to tell her to leave, because what if it's not. Andrea was eyeballing me and how I paced the floor. I looked at myself to see what I was wearing and I wasn't wearing a shirt. "Stop. Please." She took her eyes off of me at stared out the window. "Well," She got up and walked towards the door, "If you need anything, I'm next door." She closed the door behind her. I saw something on my bed that didn't belong.
Scarlett's jacket.
Now I had a reason to check on her. I got in my car and drove to her house. "Hi, Ms. Locvett. Is Scarlett here?" She shook no, "I'm sorry, you just missed her. Try calling her." She offered. I got in my car and sat there thinking where could she be. The diner! I backed out and drove off to the restaurant. I searched all through the booths and bar seats, she was nowhere to be found. I called her again and that stupid voicemail of hers. I left a message, just for a try. Heading home, I got an email from my job saying to come in early. I wondered why, but I read it all and I have to train someone. Whoever that someone is, took Scarlett's job.
*Scar's POV*
"Now." Looking around, I still had some decorating to add. The paint was already decent so I just let it stay. Tonight is my first night at my own house. Wow, this is what it feels like. I laid down and thought of Zac. All night. I couldn't even go to sleep. When I did fall asleep, it was around 5 o'clock. Today was the start of my new job, and I wasn't going in as Scarlett. I am covering my love quote tattoo and my infinity sign. I also took my nose, eyebrow, and extra ear piercings out. People say I appear as the skater girl stereotype, and that probably was true. But now, I am Lindsey a sweet loving girl from Los Angeles. They said to show up in a plain t-shirt and jeans. I headed out once I was dressed, on the way I got hungry. "One chicken biscuit." I stated to the cashier. "Jelly?" I nodded and replied with "Grape please." She handed the jelly and I was off with my day. The Sun was at it's highest for now and the birds spoke to the raging wind. It was supposed to rain, but I guess not. As I walked into the building, the manager gave me a shirt with the club logo on it. When I say I changed everything I meant it. Zac didn't recgonize me when I pulled up, I rented a car from the Jeep dealership next to my complex. "Get in." Zac said rather sluggish. "Good morning!" I cheered. "Not really." I didn't respond to his attitude. "Lindsey, we get a golf cart and basically patrol around the club. Our, your cart, has to have pool towels, smaller towels for the tennis and golf players, and the water container has to be filled. You are also like a taxi to people that don't want to walk." He stated giving me a glare hoping that I took it all in. "Hey," I paused to act as if I didn't know his name. "I don't know what your problem is but I don't like it, aren't we supposed to be preppy?" I said. "Yes we are, but I can't be if you are the problem." He drove off. My face was drained of all happiness, I got in a cart and tried to process what was said. I started my drive through the golf course. "Sshhh." One of the players said. Apparently, you're supposed to be quiet when players are swinging. So I patiently waited for the slow old man to lift his club and slowly swing it forward. I quickly drove off hoping I wouldn't run into any slow swingers again.
*Zac's POV*
Who does she think she is? Ms.-I-don't-like-your-attitude! I kind of liked her feistiness, it reminded me of Scar. She was cute, but I couldn't let her know that. "Zachary, where is she?" The manager, Peter, asked. "Out." Peter hates one word answers. "She's already out on the course." I restated. "No, no, no, no. She can't! Go find her, no one is ever alone on their first day." He shooed. I walked to my cart and drove through the holes and into the tennis courts. "Oh, Zachary, I didn't know you worked here." A familiar voice shouted. "Andrea." I mumbled to myself as I stopped. She sat next to me as I tried to drive off. "Did you see a girl in a cart like this?" I asked. "I'm right here." She giggled, but nothing at all was funny. "Really?" I said with a serious face. "Yea, I had to get more tennis balls from her she went that way. But are you free tonight?" She got out the golf cart and I yelled, "Here til' close!" as I drove off. For this to be a golf cart, it actually goes pretty fast. I stopped and looked around for the girl. I heard another cart coming and sure enough she was in it. "Oh hello!" She pepped up. "Yea, um, you have to take your cart back and ride with me." I tried not to make it seem as if I wanted her to. "Lead me there." She said pushing down my visor. I waited for her to turn around and follow me. We drove back to the clubhouse and she went in for a snack. "Break room is this way." I pointed. "Oh no, I didn't bring anything." She walked towards the snack bar. I walked into the break room to see Luke staring out. "You are so lucky." He said to me. "Why?" I asked curiously. "you get to train her. Dayumm. She's fine." He trotted out like he was cool. I stared through the break room window to see him talking to her. I knew I acted like an ass, but she was pretty hot.
