Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
where did my memories go?
They seemed to have occurred ages ago,
maybe that's what it feels like when you grow.
Popsicles on a hot day,
running outside during a game.
Letting the time slip away,
just like I am now, doing the same.
Singing, dancing,
prancing about.
We'd giggle and shout,
thinking we were rock stars like Hannah Montana, no doubt.
Promises sealed by a pinky swear,
made sure your secret,
wasn't allowed to be shared.
To break a promise?
No child dared.
Look at this photograph,
words to describe it would be longer than a paragraph.
Halloween of 05',
I let out a laugh,
on my brother's behalf.
Petting zoo,
riding a horse named 'Blue'.
Brown and spotted with white,
brings back a feeling of delight.
Time to say goodbye,
for the time has passed.
Yet I haven't cried,
for these memories haven't died,
they'll always be alive.
