Your phone alarm goes off. You've set it to randomly play any one of your favorite songs- today it plays Atariwave, a song by Quok. While you are a rock fan, you do like to indulge in more chill music, as well. The chiptune track is cheerful, bringing a smile to your face when it wakes you up, but you don't want to get up just yet, so you reach over and hit the snooze button. It's 10 in the morning, after all, and you still feel worn out from the battle yesterday. BLU had been obliterated yesterday, but it still had been a bit of a challenge.

When you finally do get out of bed, you don't bother getting dressed, opting to stay in your dragon kigurumi instead. Slipping your phone into one of the kigurumi's pockets, you leave your room, wings and tail bouncing with every step. As you step out, you yawn, flashing your fangs for only a moment.

Upon entering the dining area, you find that the Engineer didn't wake up to make breakfast for the team. You can't blame him, though- in fact, nobody seems to be awake after how chaotic yesterday was. You dig into the pantry, obtaining a packet of shrimp-flavored ramen. You grab a pan and prepare your (somewhat unorthodox) breakfast, taking care not to make a great deal of noise as you do so.

Suddenly, you hear a voice from behind you. "Mornin'!" greeted the familiar voice. It was Scout.

"Oh? What's up?" you reply. "Didn't see you there." Letting your ramen cook, you move away to sit on one of the base's couches. You sit on one of your plush wings, your tail- fit snugly into that of the kigurumi's- curling to the side so as to avoid being hurt. Scout takes notice of your attire.

"Ay, nice PJs you've got there," he compliments.

The pajamas in question are (F/C), with plates of a darker shade of (F/C) going down the back center, not unlike Godzilla. Two lighter (F/C) wings, angelic in nature, sprout from the back. Its face more closely resembles that of a cat's than a dragon's, with wide, staring eyes and spirals on the cheeks. On top of its head are two pointed cat-like ears with two teeny horns between them. True, it's not especially draconic, but it's comfy and you think it suits you well.

You bare your little fangs again in a smile. "Aww, thanks," you reply. You wait there for a few more minutes, making small talk with Scout, before getting up to retrieve your ramen. You settle down somewhere to eat and begin to take your phone out, hoping to listen to music while you eat. Before you can get too far, however, you hear a dove's cooing and look in the direction of the sound.

Indeed, you see a dove, white and fluffy. You find yourself watching it as you eat, training your eyes on it and just admiring it. When it spreads its wings and begins to fly, it startles you a little, but you find yourself amused as the feathery ball of fluff comes to land right by your arm. You can't help but laugh. "Silly bird! I know you think the ramen smells good, but I can't give you any since I don't know if you'll get sick or not. Getting hurt just because something's tasty would be horrible!" Despite your teasing, you do find the bird to be beautiful, especially now that it's so close. You begin to pet it, smiling as it happily pushes its head into your hand.

The ramen tastes almost as lovely as the bird looks. You find yourself completely distracted by it, even as you stuff your face. As you continue to shower the bird in affection, you notice footsteps coming your way. "Well! Looks like someone is getting along with Archimedes!" Medic's amused voice comes from nearby and you look up at him.

You clearly aren't the only one who chose to stay in your pajamas. He stands there grinning in a feather patterned shirt and matching shorts. The German holds his arm in front of him and whistles, to which the bird- named Archimedes, it seems- responds by flying to him and perching neatly on his forearm. You smile.

"Archimedes is a lovely name! How cute and dignified!"

You finish eating your ramen and leave for a second to put it in the sink, then return to Medic and his bird. You reach up and gently pat his head again. "He's so adorable!" You giggle as it coos in response and Medic chuckles softly.

"He's certainly friendly." You nod in agreement and he reaches up, giving the dove scritches as well.

You can't help but feel curious now. You didn't know Medic had any pets- you wanted to know more. "Is he yours?" you ask, just to be sure.

"He is!" Medic replies with glee. It's clear that he loves Archimedes. You know the feeling- your cats are like your babies to you. Speaking of your cats, Medic speaks again. "Say, what about your cats? I've seen them around."

Wow! He was curious about your pets, too? "Well, hold on a moment and I'll introduce you!" He nods and stays in place as you retrieve your cats, returning with a squirming armful of fur. He looks surprised at the sheer number of feline you're holding.

"That's... quite a lot of cats! And, say, are those kittens?" He adjusts his glasses with his free hand, looking at the smaller lot of cats.

"Yep! They're a family!" you answered, grinning once more. You then proceed to continue your line of questioning. "By the way, I'm curious. Where did you get Archimedes?"

The surprise on Medic's face gave way to a big, proud grin. "Well, I rescued him, of course!" Your own eyes widen now.

"Amazing!" you reply, just a little too excitedly. "I rescued the parents in this family! The kittens are their children!"

You tell him each of their names and he smiles, admitting that he finds them cute. The two of you talk about your pets for most of the morning afterward. It seems like the two of you have at least one thing in common- you love your pets!
