Scott had arrived in Rockport just in time to witness a street race going on. The competitors were driving a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6, and a 1999 Mazda RX-7.

“Well, I see people’s taste in cars is a little bit mixed around here.”

Jeremiah then called Scott on the windshield auto-phone.

“Scott, you have to enter this ring of street-racers. They race in a well-known organization called the ‘Blacklist.’ We’ve discovered something in this organization that sounds a lot more serious than just street-racing. You have to find out what these guys are up to.”

“Alright, Jeremiah, I’ll get right on it.”

The DoubleZero then spoke to Scott.

“He’s right, Scott. We should enter this race. It is part of our mission, plus, you’ll be able to learn more of my capabilities.”

“Alright, let’s do this.”

Scott and the DoubleZero then lined up for the next race, versus a 2005 Pontiac GTO.

“Whoa, man we’ve got ourselves a new racer!” yelled the GTO driver.

“Darn right!” yelled Scott Cooper.

The two drivers lined up. A female stood between the two cars. She then raised her hands then lowered them. As soon as she did, the two drivers took off, leaving tire marks in the pavement. The two drivers battled fiercely for first. The man in the GTO then shouted to Scott,

“See ya, sucker!” He then took off using a bottle of nitrous oxide.

“Nitrous oxide, huh? Well, let’s just show this guy how to really drive!”

Scott then floored the DoubleZero’s accelerator, propelling the car to speeds over 160 miles per hour.

“Be careful not to get into the habit of showing off my speed capabilities. We could easily be exposed.”

“I gotcha, buddy!” Scott and the DoubleZero crossed the finish line five seconds ahead of their opponent.

Scott then drove into a crowd of people, opened his door, and stepped out.

“Hey, DZ. We practically blew that guy’s doors off!”

“I can see that. I can also see that he is coming up behind you at your 6:00, and he does not appear happy.”

“Thanks pal.” Scott then quickly turned around, and pinned the angry driver against the DoubleZero.

“What the hell?!” The driver screamed.

“Come on, pal. It was only a race. My car was just faster than yours.”

“Aw come on!”

After Scott released the driver, he then climbed back into the DoubleZero.

“Ya know somethin’ DZ? I think I’m gonna like this job.”

“Why do you say that? Is it because we’re on a mission to find out what the cause of these races are, or is it because you get to race? Or maybe you get to see your…” Scott then cuts DZ off.

“DZ?”

“Yes?”

“Shut up.”

Scott then started the car up, and drove away.
