Chapter 1

Have you ever looked at life and asked yourself how you got there? That's the moment I'm in right now......

"Max get out of the bathroom it's my turn." I yelled at my twin brother who seems to take longer in bathroom these days.

"You need to chill out Octavia dang!!"Max said opening the door. I ran in only having 20 minutes to get dress before Miss.Rita comes and bangs on the door.

Your probably lost let me explain. Me and my brother Max are in foster care. Miss.Rita is our foster mother. Our father died last year. He couldn't take it after my mother died of cancer the year before that. So now where stuck in this house with a woman who abuses us and just has us for money!

We are supposed to be starting a new life here. Today's our first day at the new school down the road. Its a little crappy that the school year has already started but it is what it is.

I ran out of the bathroom down the stairs and out the door to my brothers car. He drove off in a hurry before Miss.Rita comes out and starts yelling! We got to the school and we both walked off in different directions. First period had started so I walked in late everyone had there eyes on me. I walked to the teacher ready to tell him who I was but he spoke up before me "Miss.Riverton please have a seat." I was stunned that he already knew who I was but walked to a empty test which was right next to a girl who had green eyes and long blond hair. She looked pretty nice.
Class started and the teacher asked us to get in groups. Of course I didn't have anyone to go to so I looked around till I heard a voice next to me say " would you like to work with me?" I looked over to see the girl with blond hair looking at me. "Sure" where the only words I could find. We started working until she stoped and said "I'm Sophie by the way."" Octavia" I responded she smiled at me and we continued working till the end of class. She asked me to sit next to her durning lunch and I said yes cause I have no one else.

*Skip to lunch*

I found Sophie in the back of the lunch room. She was sitting with another girl who has long blond hair too but blue underneath. I walked up and Sophie introduced us. " Ava this is Octavia, Octavia this is Ava." " nice to meet you" we said at the same time which cause all of us to laugh.

Ava and Sophie started talking about other things so I took this moment to look around to see if I could find Max. I saw him across the lunch room with people that look to be on the football team. I knew he already had friends cause football started about week after we moved here and Max joined. After lunch I exchanged numbers with the girls and was off to class.

*after school*
I was looking around for Maxes car but I couldn't find it so I started walking home. When I got there I saw Maxes car in the driveway and got mad that he left me. I ran in the house and heard movement In the kitchen." Hi brother remember me the person your drive home everyday after school you, should ha-" I was cut short when I finally entered the kitchen only to see 4 teenage boys staring at me.

Max walked up to me whisper a sorry in my ear then he started to introduce me to the boys. Ali was the dark colored boy who was sitting in the corner. Next, was a brown haired boy with blue eyes named Cash. After was another brown head boy named Atticus. Then the last boy was the one who caught my eye. He has dirty blond hair and brown eyes and was wearing a leather jacket his name was Amir. I said hi to all the boys I stayed in the kitchen a little longer until I heard a bang come from upstairs.
