Chapter 2

I ran up stairs only to find Miss.Rita trashing my room. "What are you doing!STOP!" "Where's the money?!?! I need the money!!" She yelled running around throwing things. She me by my shirt and slapped me. "Where's the m-". Her sentence was cut off short when she spotted the 20 dollar bill under the glass angle my mother gave me before she died. Miss.Rita ran for it then next thing I knew was the glass angle went flying. I ran for it and got there in time or so I thought. When I looked the wings had come off.i looked up to find Miss.Rita only to see her running out of my room and out the front door.
I felt tears building up then, I let a few fall before, I walked back to the boys who are still in the kitchen. Only to see them all quiet and looking up at me. "What happened?" Was the only thing I heard. I walked up to Max and put the last thing I had from my mother into his hands and walked back to my room.
As I was slowly walking up the steps I heard the boys asking "What was wrong?" I heard Max start the story of why we are where we are.

*Next Morning*
When Max came to wake me up he told me that he was giving the boys a ride and to be ready by 7:30. So I got up and did my usual things. It was 7:29 when I was done. So I ran downstairs only to fall on the last step. I was ready to hit the floor but, I felt hands go around my waist and put me back on my feet. I open my eyes to find these beautiful brown eyes looking back. "Be careful you don't want to fall and hurt that pretty face of yours." I was stunned that Amir called me pretty. But recovered quickly. Until I realize that Amir still had his hands around my waist and I was holding on to the side of his signature leather jacket.
We both took a couple of steps apart when we heard the boys coming down the stairs. "let's go!" Max said running out."thank you!" Was the last thing I told Amir before getting my bag and following the boys out. I could smell Amir's Cologne from behind me. "We have to lap it." Max told me cutting off my train of thought. "Octavia can sit on my lap." I turned around to find that Amir had spoken. "ok" was the only thing I could say. "Ok get in!" Max said getting in the car himself. I followed Amir into the car I sat on his lap and had my back towards the door. Amir placed one hand on my lower back and the other on my thigh. I have this weird feeling when he touched me due to my short skirt I had on.
Finally, we got to the school and I jumped out of the car and ran over to where I saw Sophie and Ava talking. "Hey Octavia!""hi" we all started talking about class to my brother came behind me. "Dang Octavia I've never seen you run that fast." He had mine and both the girls attention. Sophie was looking at my brother a little weird. And when I looked over Ava her and Atticus were staring at each other. "Anyways." Max said breaking his view from Sophie and back to me. " I have practice after school with the guys so you wait? Right?" "Yes,of course!" I said as the first bell rings.
The girl started dragging me away after we all said bye. Sophie and Ava were looking at me with big smiles. "What?!?" I finally said. "You didn't tell us your brother and his friends are so freaking hot!!"Sophie practically yelled getting other peoples attention. "oh my gosh dang diddley darn!" I said causing
both of them to laugh so hard that Ava had snorted which ended up causing all of us to laugh more.
*skip to after school practice*
I sat on the bleachers alone watching the football team warm up. I heard foot steps and looked up to my right to see a man who looked to be in his 30s. He creeped me out but I thought it was just the scar on his face but that changed when you started talking."Hey little lady!" I don't want to be rude so I smiled at him. I was hoping he wouldn't come and sit next to me and fortunately he did. I moved a little down only to have him move closer to me. "what's wrong I don't bite, only if you want me to." He added a wink at the end. I was getting disgusted and got my things to get up and leave but, when I turned he got hold of my wrist. "what's the rush you don't want to have fun.""leave me alone!" I yelled loud enough to get the coaches attention and he blew his whistle the team stopped their play and looked up at me. I could tell the man had gotten mad when I yelled because his eyes were dark and his smirk went flat. He tightened his grip. "Let me go!!" I screamed. He stares at me with cold eyes. "let her go now!" I look over to see you as a coach who had talked this time. I couldn't see Amir and Max anymore! I heard police sirens in the distance and I heard the man cuss under his breath. He pushed me back and I fell over some of the bleachers he ran off. When I looked up I saw Max and Amir running over to me. They help me out but I felt dizzy and fell back into Amir's arms. I felt him pick me up bridal style before I let dark take me in with open arms.
