Lilian's pov

I didn't wear the beautiful trinkets the wolf gave me, though I did keep them in my pouch in case I wanted to wear them. It had been 3 months and something told me. Not to put any of them on yet like I was waiting for something special.

I walked past the hot springs noticing a silver headed old guy. I was about to attack him, but after closer inspection I noticed it was Jira-chan. I always felt 5 again seeing him. Ah to be young.

I snuck up on him and grabbed his shoulder tightly. His body began to shake and he slowly looked behind him. I winked an eye and stuck my tongue out.

"Lilian? Look how much you've grown I was just about to finish up here and head over to the orphanage."

I giggled at his pervertedness. I liked that he wasn't afraid to be himself unlike me.

"I was heading to the training grounds so please take your time we can catch up at say..... Mmmmmmm... 6 tonight at the dongo shop?"

He nodded and I began running off waving goodbye. I usually didn't run, but Jira-chan made me so happy. He was like that cool uncle you always wanted to hang with.

When I got to the training grounds gaining weird glances from my team. I rarely smiled even when I was happy and here I was flashing a smile that could rival Naruto's.

Kakashi told us about the chuunin exams. My happiness faded. I didn't want to take a test. But Tomorrow we had to go into the testing sight and turn this stuff in. Even though he said it was our choice, I felt like that was a lie. I folded the peace of paper and stuffed it in my  hoodie pocket.

We all talked for a moment before I noticed it was 5:35. I hopped up and said my goodbyes and ran. I made it to the Dongo shop at 5:55.

'yes I made it with 5 minuets to spare.'

Soon Jira-chan came up and we talked for what felt like hours. I told him I didn't remember anything, but I lied about not getting any knowledge of my past. The overwhelming guilt had to be pushed aside so I could enjoy my night. When it hit 8 we decided it was best to leave. He walked me home joking around and talking about his next book before we went our separate ways. I felt happier as I made my way home. When I put my hands in my pocket I almost instantly groaned in annoyance.

I filled out the paper and folded it so it could fit in my pouch. I went to sleep and awaited the nextl day much to my disliking.
