Now uh.. I got to go..."
She looked at Dylan.
Dylan smiled, not really understanding, but nodded.
She smiled back, but she looked down.
"You'll... soon forget all this. The mark of Els only works if you give a secret... and i gave away all my past. Sorry about that." She laughed humorlessly, then sighed.
"Thank you. So much. Just for listening... or watching. Whichever. Goodbye Dylan."
The girl smiled, and suddenly gave Dylan a hug.
Dylan was surprised, but could feel she needed this.. She hugged her back, and let go.
The girl smiled again, and stood up.
Dylan watched as she started to glow, and watched as something magical happened.
Wings.
Wings, the ones she felt before, had protruded behind her. It didn't look painful, but it still looked unusual.
As she watched the girl take off, Dylan observed her once again.
She had blue hair and beautiful round pink eyes. At her back were two fragile wings, like dew drops in the moonlight. The wings seemed to shiver, as the light shining on them made them look like glass.
She blinked. There, as she went to lift up to the sky, the clouds seemed to make way for her, the wind surrounding her stronger then a whirlwind. She twirled, and she swore she saw a horn grow out of her forehead. It sparkled as the girl jumped to the stars, almost like a superhero.
"Dylan?" Someone said behind her. Dylan looked back and jumped for a second, thinking it was Charli. Then she realized it was the neighbor, the one with good Apple pie. She smiled as she saw Dylan, her shiny teeth bright in the dark. That woman had some shiny teeth.
"What are you doing out dear? You should be asleep!"
Dylan shivered. Even though the neighbor didn't act a bit like Charli, it still made her flinch at the sight of her.
"Sorry ma'am!I was just checking out stuff since i couldn't sleep! I'll go now!" Dylan whisper-yelled back, as she remembered it being much more then that.
The woman gave a warm smile. "You sound a lot like me when i was young! Always outside, adventuring abit here and there. How fun! Alrighty then, i'll give you some apple pie and pudding tomorrow alright? I know how much you like them."
Dylan resisted the urge to inform her how creepy she sounded, and decided to go with a pleasant smile again. She waved to her. "Thank you! Have a good night then ma'am!"
The woman grinned. "Thank you dear! Don't worry, i'll keep this our little secret! My lips are zipped!" Dylan grimaced a bit, realizing how creepy the lady could be due to what happened and waved. "Bye!"
The lady waved back. As Dylan walked home, the memories of what happened started to fade, and by next morning, she had forgotten all of it.

A few years later, the mystery girl, Zuriel looked up in the school courtyard, eating alone, like always. She wasn't sure why, but she kept getting dreams about an invitation. An invitation to join a team. Something called 'Half'.
The End.
