Josh's POV

I tried my best to walk normally to Cici's pizza. It was close by which was beneficial.

I tried to think of what I was gonna say to Kevin when I arrive. I didn't want to make it awkward. Considering I'm new and all.

I don't ever want to see my dad again. I let him take advantage of me. I was too weak and cowardly to fight back. I'm so stupid.

I felt tears rise up to my eyes and instantly but on my earbuds to distract me from my thoughts.

Cici's was right across the the street I was currently in now. I could see Kevin through one of the windows.

Kevin's POV

I could see Josh outside the building. He looked really cute. What am I saying, he always looks cute.

I felt a blush appear on my face. As he walked in I saw that he had a big bruise on his arm. Oh no. Please tell me he just bumped into the corner of a table or something. Yeah, that definitely happened.

He walked towards the table I was sitting in and sat down across from me.
"Hi Josh" I said with a smile on my face
"H-hi. So uh, do we go get some pizza?" He said as I could feel the awkwardness in the air.

"Oh! Uh yeah, let's go. I'll pay" I said as I started standing up

Josh's POV

Damn, why did I say that. Now I have to walk again. God dammit why today?

I started walking to the trays of pizza they have. I saw that Kevin was looking at me weirdly.

I hope he's just looking at my ass or something. I'm not ready to tell him about this.

I finished getting the pizza and walked back to our table.

"Hey," I said "what are we going to do about school?"

"What do you mean?" Kevin replied as he took a bite of his pizza

"I mean, do the people at school know you're attracted to guys? Considering this society I have a feeling your popularity will drop.."

"Well," Kevin took a pause to think "I'm Pansexual and they've seen me date some of the popular girls in school so I don't think it'll be that bad"

"I don't know..." I said

"We shouldn't be worrying about this right now. Let's enjoy our time here and then talk about this later." Kevin hesitantly said.
