_________
Imagine Daryl losing you, now he is left to cope without you, and your  daughter is by his side.
________
Daryl was leaning against the counter as he watched yours and his daughter Abby, try and figure out a math problem, he had attempted to help her but the way he suggested was wrong.
"See dad! I told you you where wrong!"
"Pftt yeah right" Daryl playfully scoffed
"No I'm serious! Come here!" Abby exclaimed
He pushed himself off the counter and walked towards her where she was seated at the table.
"See, you told me something completely different" she pointed at at the math problem, and she was right.
"Fine, you win this time kid, now finish up before mom gets here"
Before Abby could reply, she was cut off by the phone ringing.
"I got it!"
"No, you finish" Daryl said as he picked up the phone.
"Hello?" He spoke into the phone
"Yes, is this Daryl Dixon?" A lady asked
"Yeah... he's speaking" even before the lady answered he could feel his stomach turning.
"There was a terrible accident, (y/n) was hit by a four wheeler, she didn't make it..."
Daryl couldn't hear anything else after that sentence, his breathing picked up, and his legs gave out, he fell on the kitchen floor, letting go of the phone, he couldn't process this, she was gone, you where gone...
Abby saw as her dad fell to the floor, and she quickly ran to him, Daryl hung his head, he couldn't look at her, how could he tell her what had happened, that you where no longer here, but with one glance that he gave her, he knew what had happened.
"Dad..." She cried, that's all that Daryl needed before he broke too, the tears started rolling down his cheeks as he held onto his daughter. You had left both of them.
Now Daryl was sitting on the floor, his back was resting against the bed and he numbly held onto a picture of you, that was the only emotion he felt right now, memories of you played in his mind like a broken record, he looked up to see the bathroom door open, he peered into it seeing the small tub where you would often use, and he saw you, just for a split second as you looked at him with that warm smile, your hair in a messy bun, and that twinkle in your eyes, Daryl only gazed at you, where you really there? He went to stand up but when he reached the tub, you were no longer there, he sighed and he now leaned again the tub, looking straight to the bedroom he saw the room light up with the sun, and then images of a Sunday morning where the three of you would have pillow fights, the memory seemed so fresh, how could you he gone?
Daryl heard the faint patter of footsteps and looked up to see Abby, a spitting image of you, she held a small sad smile and she held out her hand for Daryl to take.
"Come on dad, lets go take a walk, how about we go to our tree?" Abby suggested.
Daryl only stared blankly at his daughter, but in the end ended up taking her hand, both left the house, walking into the street, and to the place where many memories where formed, he could start to see the tree, that was one of your favorite places to go, so now Abby and Daryl waked in silence, as they both approached the tree, again vivid memories about you fogged his mind.
That's how the day passed, and now Daryl was beneath the water of the shower, he use to fight the memories of you, because they were to painful to remember, but today he had no energy to fight, all he could see were your eyes, how warm they were when they gazed into his own cold blue eyes, you taught him to love again, you fixed him up, and now you're gone.
The cold water fell down his back, his back that was covered in scars that he was ashamed of, but that was one of the many parts of him that you loved, because without them, he wouldn't be who he is today, Daryl was a survivor, he survived all those wounds and scars, you helped him heal, but now he needed your help again, help heal the wound in his heart, how could that wound scar if you weren't here to help him mend it?
Daryl rarely slept these days but when he did, he couldn't hear anything, he was always exhausted.
So he would never hear Abby walk into the room to check on him, never hear when she covered him with a thin blanket, or when she would smell your perfume, the one you would always ware, it was a smell that would bring her comfort, she missed you greatly, and it hurt to see her dad like this, he wanted both of you back, but she new that you couldn't come back, but she wanted her dad to.
She missed him as well.
Today Daryl woke up feeling the same, numb, but he was surprised to see that he had a bit of energy, he needed to make peace with your parting, so he took Abby to a very special palace where the three of you would only go once a year, a beautiful meadow.
When both of you arrived it's like Daryl could hear your laugh, and his heart ached for you.
He remembered bringing you here, and together both of you would dance, even if there was no music.
Abby also remembered, she saw how happy her parents looked, both their eyes filled with love and passion for each other.
She saw as Daryl gazed forward, so slowly she moved to embrace her dad, and stared to rock back and forth in s slow dancing motion.
Daryl felt the stinging in his eyes as he too embraced his daughter, he new that he had to let go of you. He had to make peace.
No matter how much it hurt, but he wouldn't be letting go completely, because you would always be there.
Today, he would let you go.
Both Daryl and Abby stood against the shore of the ocean, the soft waves tickling their feet, the white foam, would reach a but past there ankles, the sun was setting so the sky was painted with light oranges, pinks and yellows.
Abby held onto the urn, where your ashes are held. Slowly she passed it to Daryl.
Daryl looked at it, and carefully opened it tilting it so that your ashes would fall into the sea, the wind helping, as you where gracefully being carried in the wind.
Daryl took a deep breath as the last of your ashes fell, he felt a great weight being lifted from his chest. He looked at the sky that was almost completely dark, the he finally whispered out "Goodbye my love..."
That day, Daryl had finally made peace with your parting.
