josh pov:

Two days ago Tyler Joseph, my so called 'partner in crime' was arrested. He was at our hide out when they found him, however they wanted both of us so they left a note on the empty shelter for when I got back. It read;

joshua dun,

we have gotten half of your little scandle, tyler joseph. if you want time off of your and tylers sentence then i suggest you turn yourself in,

you have one week to make a choice.

- cheif director of the delinquent detention center

It was a wake -up -call, for sure. Now its been two days and I am sitting outside the detention center with a note of my own reading:

i will turn myself in of you agree to theese terms;

1. you dont seperate tyler and i. ever.

2. we serve the same time.

3. when arresting me. tyler is there, so i know this is real.

to reach me and agree to the terms put a note back where tyler was found

I ran up and put it in the mail box, I know that a guard will come out in around 5 minutes to get the mail. So I ran and hid behind a car, still having perfect view of the box. watching carefully, I see him walk out. I watch as he opens the box to get the mail, whilst sorting through it, his eyes go wide and he runs back inside. I take that as my cue to run, so I did.

<flash back>

i was on the second grade track team, we were at a meet in some ghetto wannabe neighborhood, i didnt recognize anyone here, even though they were all from my school, probably at least. whats important is that i was winning i knew that much i knew that much at least. my lungs were burning and my feet ached, but i kept going.

the reason i was even running was because i thought my parents would finally be proud of me, something i longed for. simply someone, something to finally be proud of me.

a small smile slipped onto my lips as i imagined that, not being called wierd daily or told off for breathing wrong and  instead getting hugs and kisses from my parents.

then someone from behind crashed on top of me, making both of us fall, him on top of my back. i craned my neck to try to look up and see a face, and someone laughing whilst running past us, but before i could even see the guy who fell on me someone from the crowd yelled  something that will stick with me for the rest of my life

'look the little freaks fell'

and a roar of laughter began. the guy who tripped helped me up and we ran toward the forest, doging the low, overgrown branches

<end of flash back>
