I, too, seek Acknowledgement.
I am the excluded sister.
They expect nothing of me,
Only to be neglected,
I smile,
And I strive to be superior
All the while I am exceptional.
Tomorrow,
I will be at the top
When others notice me,
Everyone will see,
What I am,
And smile at me,
Then.
Besides,
They will see how capable I am
And be startled—
I, too, am Necessary.
