I slowly open my eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling. Where am I? I wonder. Events and memories come rushing back into my head. The woman not letting me in, climbing the tree, the strange conversation, Azura with the plague and Cora finding us.
I sit up quickly, and my head throbs in protest. I try to reach my hand up to my head, but discover that is has been crudely tied to the legs of the bed using sheets.
I frantically look around the room, and discover Cora in the corner watching me. She stands up and smirks when I meet her eyes.
She comes to a stop at the end of the bed and stands there staring at me. I decide to break the silence.
"Why am I tied up?" I ask. I have thousands more questions banging around in my head. This one seems the most immediate.
"To the point." She muses, "Well do you want the honest answer or the one that sounds good?" She looks at me as though expecting me to answer. When I don't she rolls her eyes and sighs.
"Well, the answer that sounds good is that you are violent and need to be contained so as not to risk anyones safety. But I mean really, look at you, you aren't a threat to anyone." She chuckles at the scowl on my face. "The honest answer is that I got bored just watching you sleep, and I thought tying you up would be fun."
"Was it?" I ask, not amused.
She laughs even harder. "Not really, it is no fun to tie someone up when they are unconscious."
At this point she is gasping from laughter.
"What is so funny?" I ask half confused, half angry.
She manages to calm down enough to answer me. "This whole thing." She says wiping tears out of her eyes. "My first go and I manage to break half the rules, and still all I hear is praise." She laughs a bit more, then curses, suddenly serious. "I probably wasn't supposed to say that in front of you."
She pauses, and I wait for her to start speaking again. "You should leave. Your sister came by to check on you about an hour ago."
I curse "What did you tell her?" I ask and move to get up, then remember that I am currently tied to the bed. "And could you please untie me." I say as calmly as possible.
She comes closer to the bed and begins to undo the knots. "I told her you and Azura were talking, and to go away. She seemed to buy it, so hopefully she didn't crawl through a window."
I don't respond as I quickly walk out of the room, down the stairs, and out the door. When I get outside, I begin running in the direction of my house.

So, I have been gone for two weeks, and that is pretty bad, but I had PSAT testing, and now that it is over, the worst of the school year is over, and I can focus more on this story! Yay!
Please comment suggestions and feedback, this chapter was 50% filler, so I need some help.
Would you like to see other points of view? Any new characters you wanna see? Help me make this more interesting, I feel like it is really boring...
Finally, Thank you so much for reading this!
