~Jack~

I woke up this morning, something feels weird today. I blink a few times to get rid of the blurriness that still rests in my eyes from sleep, and turn toward the alarm clock on the nightstand next to the bed. It was much earlier than I thought, that's why something seems off.

I pull my heavy body away from the bed and stretch as I yawn, still tired as always. It always seems as if I never get enough sleep. I try to shake off that tired feeling and exit the bedroom.

Outside the bedroom stood Mark, with his phone up to his ear. I started to listen in, without meaning to invade his privacy of course. I just couldn't help myself. Mark wasn't facing me, so he had no clue I was behind him.

"Yes, I really need it to be scheduled for today," Mark said into the phone. He paused for a moment, I assumed the other person was talking.

"Well, I don't think we can make it then," Mark grunted, he seemed frustrated.

"Oh yeah that'll work! Name? Oh, Mark Fischbach. Patient's name is Sean Mcloughlin." Once my name left Mark's mouth, I froze. I felt sick. Why was he talking about me?

"Yes, yes. Thank you so much for putting up with me. Bye," Mark said sweetly. He hung up and then pivoted on his foot, turning towards me. He stopped when his eyes laid on me.

"Oh hey Jack! How are you this morning?" Mark asked, a big smile present on his face.

"Why were you talking about me?"

"Oh," Mark said, his face dropping slightly, "Well, Jack, I made an appointment with a psychologist for you after I get back from school. Before you say anything Jack, I know you don't want to go, but I really do think that this will be a good thing for you."

"When were you going to tell me?" I asked, slightly hurt.

"I was going to tell you as soon as I could."

"So why didn't you tell me when you turned around and saw me?"

"Because I wanted to greet you first. I didn't want to be rude." Mark's smile had returned and he look as goofy as ever. I gave him a slight smile back, just because he was being to adorable to ignore. He pulled me into a hug.

"I'm going to have to leave soon, but before I do, I want to make sure you eat breakfast."

I sighed but didn't argue. He grabbed my hand and gently pulled me down the stairs along side him. He then sat me down at the table once we made it to the kitchen. Mark put down a small plate of toast and eggs in front of me and smiled.

I stared at the plate for a bit and finally picked up the piece of toast. I slowly bit into it and chewed. It tasted great, it wasn't burnt. It was crispy and tasted great with a small bit of butter on top. I only ate one and a bit of my eggs, which seemed to please Mark.

"Alright Jack, I need to go. Remember to be ready to go once I get home, as we will need to leave right away in order to get to your appointment on time." I nodded in response.

"Alright bye Jackaboy!" Mark patted me on the head and started to walk to the door.

"Bye!" I responded. Once Mark had left and it was just me in the house, I headed to the upstairs bathroom. I went to go take a shower as I hadn't done it in about a day, which means I'm absolutely disgusting by now.

Once I was done with my shower, I changed into some skinny jeans, a t-shirt, and a sweatshirt. Normally, I wouldn't bother with a shirt, as I know I wouldn't take off the sweatshirt anyways, but I have a feeling I'm going to be asked to take it off at the psychologists office today.
