In The Summer Of 2000 (Intro)

It's an all & all sunny day in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Skyscrapers proudly stand in the heart of the city with professional people working every day. However, down on the busy sectioned off streets there was a parade going on. Cheering, adoring fans were screaming their praises to their local basketball team while they waved on their floats. Shawn Williams, the 21 year old fifth year small forward stood proudly holding The Larry O' Brien Trophy above his head for the fans to see, new tears escaped his eyes. Though he had two other passions in his singing & acting career earning him the nickname of 'Mr Triple Threat'.....THIS was his top goal in life was to win the NBA Championship with the LA Lakers & he did just that. With his best friend & teammate Kevin Bennett at his side, Shawn felt on top of the world & that nothing could touch him.

Motors of cars revved up as 20 year old Gordan Williams fixed a muffler on a car that desperately needed it. With his strong hands covered in motor oil, he knew he had done a great job. The young man had been building things with his hands since he was a toddler & fixing cars would be his passion. Thanks to his grandfather Zeke, (who was a proud mechanic himself) Gordan had become an impressive mechanic himself at a young age. His dream was to own his own garage one day & make his own way. Already he was married to his high school sweetheart, Shavonda & she was pregnant with their first child. With a lot to live for & a family to support, Gordan would break his back to make his dream happen & his personal life flourish.

Being the only girl out of five boys wasn't easy on a young lady. Brittney Williams knew that very well. Growing up a tomboy but being in touch with her feminine side thanks to her mother & girlriends, Brittney attracted many boys when she was a preteen. Laying in her king sized bed after a brief hair show she attended, she laughed at the share of guys she flirted with, kissed & temporarily dated. As for love? She had fallen for her first real boyfriend, Michael when she was a junior in high school. Tall, brown skinned, muscled & fine with dimples, Brittney knew he was hers. Until...he cheated on her after a year of dating & got someone else pregnant. She angrily shook her head at the memory but immediately perked up when she seen a page she received from NBA All Star & her brother Shawn's friend, Jason Raymond. She had long been attracted to him but due to her age & him being married...Brittney knew things would never be serious with them. But when she turned 18 before a game the Lakers played the Sixers, Jason gave Brittney his cell & pager numbers & they had been talking ever since. Now at 19 years old, Jason had Brittney sprung thanks to the intoxicating conversation, & the sexual things they had done on her 18th birthday. The kisses. The thickness of his braids & hardness of Jason's body. Jason's tongue finally invading her body. Her clit instantly throbbed at the memories & she bit a moan back. She slightly regretted the affair with Jason but she was too deep involved to let him go. With a smile & raging hormones, Brittney dialed his number into her phone keypad & waited anxiously to hear Jason's sexy raspy voice on the other end......

Some bonds are unbreakable. Especially the bond between twins. Chris & Gary Williams always have been close with their other siblings but have a sacred closeness with each other. It was easy to tell the 18 year olds apart. Chris was very outgoing & a people person. Gary was mostly about the books, studying & computers but still (like his twin) a very nice young man. They had plans to work for a big time computer company & make video games for a living. Thanks to hard work & scholarships, the twins had free rides to UCLA. Seeing their oldest brother Shawn live out his dreams, Chris & Gary were determined to live out theirs as well.

Watching endless football game films did nothing but motivate & infuriate 17 year old Gerald Williams. Standing at 6'4, 240 pounds of muscle & being the most sought after high school football player in California, Gerald knew he had the opposing defenses in his hands. But one night, everything came to a screeching halt. On a kick return, he caught the football. Making jukes, spins & doing them in a speed that would make Deion Sanders look twice, Gerald had the entire field in stitches. He was gone for a touchdown as long as he had one man to beat. Eyes wide with excitement, Gerald knew he what he was gonna do. As the huge 250 pound linebacker came at him low, Gerald leaped clean over his head. TOUCHDOWN! The crowd goes absolutely crazy as six points were put on the board. But as Gerald landed from the hurdle, he felt a snap crackle & pop in his right leg. Screaming in pain, Gerald fell to the ground in a heap. Coaches, his teammates & trainers came to his aid as he cried in devastation. A broken leg & torn ACL. Senior year? Gone. Scouts? Gone. Potential NFL career was in the balance. Looking at his leg in a cast, Gerald wondered if he would ever make it back to the gridiron. Wallowing in depression wouldn't help. So while watching his high school highlights, Gerald vowed that he would make it to the NFL. Hell or high water.
