After a long night of partying & having another epic time on the town, Gerald was in a place he rarely stayed. At his house. He stretched in his bed & thought about how much fun he had with Misty. After they walked away from the two women at the party, they went in the house to dance. He was dazzled by how gracefully she moved with him & how she added a few teasing hip rolls in there too. Then, he suggested that they go out somewhere alone. She was shocked that he wanted to spend time with her but she agreed. They went to one of Gerald's favorite hookah bars & they spent time talking about their interests & their jobs. Turns out Misty was a producer for the local news station & was a colleague of the infamous Sharon Jackson. He told Misty that he had been with Sharon before sexually & she laughed. She made a joke about Sharon giving out more rides than Uber & Grayhound put together & Gerald laughed with her. Granted, he told Misty that he was a good man but he wasn't an angel by any means. She accepted it & asked if they could work on being friends before anything else. Which meant NO SEX. He sighed deeply at the thought of no sex but he agreed to it. Then, they went to a 24 hour restaurant. More eating & talking about their childhoods. She made it so easy for him to be himself. Not the football sex symbol. But Gerald Williams himself. & that scared him a lot. At 5 am, he dropped Misty off at home & she thanked him for a wonderful time. He said he would call her very soon & drove back to his place.
Even though his phone was going off with calls & texts from his many lady admirers, he ignored them to think of Misty. & he couldn't figure out why she stood out from every other woman he had come across. Maybe it was because she was not after sex. Or it could be that his status didn't blind her. But he felt something real & stable with Misty & he had not had that in a woman since his early 20's. He picked his phone up. 5 missed calls, a gang of texts from a few freaks but he smiled when Misty's name popped up in a "Good morning handsome" text.
Gerald didn't know where his road with Misty would lead him.....But he was intrigued enough to find out.
